What’s a children’s book you love? 📚

To celebrate NZ Children’s Book Week, we want to hear about the stories our hāpori love.

Maybe it’s a book you remember from your own childhood, one your tamariki ask you to read again and again, or a new favourite you’ve discovered together.

Share the title of a children’s book you or your tamariki love in the comments below and you’ll go in the draw to win a $40 Timaru Booksellers’ voucher. ❤️

Entries close this weekend, with one winner drawn and contacted by us on Monday 24 August.

*This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook or Instagram.
The $40 voucher has been donated by Forge Creative Studio in celebration of NZ Children’s Book Week.

Mālō e lelei! 🇹🇴

This week we’re celebrating Uike Lea Faka-Tonga | Tonga Language Week - a time to celebrate the language, culture and identity of our Tongan communities across Aotearoa.

Language is more than the words we speak. It connects us to our culture, our families, our stories and where we come from.

At Arowhenua Whānau Services, we are proud to celebrate the many cultures and languages that make up our community here in the Aoraki rohe.

Mālō ‘aupito ❤️

Today we recognise International Youth Day - so to our rangatahi, this one’s for you. 🧡

We all have different lives, but most of us want the same things.
To feel happy.
To have good people around us.
To have opportunities.
To feel like we belong.
To have something to look forward to.

But sometimes, life can feel pretty heavy, too.
If you’re struggling, worried about something, or just need someone to talk to, our team is here.

Give us a call on 0800 615 5180, or visit us in clinic at 186 King Street, Temuka.

We check in on our tamariki. Our partners. Our parents. Our friends.

But sometimes we're not quite as good at checking in with ourselves.

This Women's Health Week, take a moment to check in with your own hauora.

Is there a check-up you've been putting off? Something that hasn't felt quite right? A question you've been meaning to ask?

Our Primary Health Care team is here to kōrero.

Come and see us at 186 King Street, Temuka.

It takes a village.

Having a new pēpi can bring plenty of questions, and sometimes you just need someone to kōrero with and make sure everything is going okay.

Our Primary Health Care and Tamariki Ora teams are here to support māmā, pēpi and whānau with practical advice, reassurance and care.

This week is World Breastfeeding Week, and we’re reminding all our amazing māmās out there that we are here to support you, too. If you need us, come and see us.
