As 1 in 3 New Zealanders face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, we need to do what we can to support those who are supporting our communities.

It’s Daffodil day and we have been out collecting donations for the Cancer Society which will help cancer patients and their families get the care and practical support they need; from crucial help getting to treatment via free driving services, through to specialist nursing and psychology support, and accommodation for those needing life-saving treatment far from home.

If you can, please donate today. Every donation counts! - link in the comments

✨Ngā mihi o Matariki, te tau hou Māori✨

As we see Matariki appear in the morning sky let us gather, to honour the dead, celebrate the present, and plan for the future.

Pohutukawa is the star that connects Matariki to the deceased and is the reason people would cry out the names of the dead and weep when Matariki was seen rising in the early morning. It is through Pohutukawa that we remember those who have died in the year just gone.

✨Warm wishes for the Māori New Year from the team at Grahams✨

It's Bandanna Day and the team are wearing their bandannas to show support for our young people impacted by cancer and to raise money for Canteen.

Around 4,200 12–24-year-olds are impacted by cancer every year in New Zealand and Canteen need our help to keep supporting them.

This week we were honoured to be invited to the groundbreaking and blessing for the new Franklin Hospice purpose-built Hospice and Community Hub.

One in three people in our community will need hospice support at some point in their lives, either directly or through someone they love.
This is why the new building and initiative is so crucial - Franklin Community Hospice are building future care and space for our loved ones.

Hospice launched their campaign to raise funds so this build can happen. This isn't just about the building - it is about the care and support they continue to give our community.

Please donate via Givealittle page https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/building-franklins-future-hospice
Or contact Hospice for other ways to contribute 09 238 9376
