Cultivating Wellness Cultivating Wellness through developing our interrelationship between People, Plants & Planet

Graduating in the UK with a Diploma in Craniosacral Therapy during the late 90’s, I have studied with the most cutting edge teachers in the field. I also broadened my knowledge and connection with plants through the study of Herbal Medicine & Nutrition and graduated from Westminster University in London with a first class honours degree. My studies and passion are ongoing in both these chosen fields that now spans over two decades, which not only ensures a deepening of knowledge, but also that I am kept abreast of new developments in upholding the profession. I have cultivated a mindfulness approach to my work and interactions that has been aided by further studies in Core Process Psychotherapy, ‘Focusing’, based on Eugene Gendlin’s work and Vipassana Meditation. Upon moving to New Zealand in 2009, I studied First Light Flower Essences of NZ with Franchelle Ofsoské-Wyber that addresses the metaphysical aspects of our being and also ‘Rudolf Steiner’s’ Biodynamic Agriculture, that explores the cosmic & spiritual aspects of working with the land and plants. With a deep appreciation that we are not separate from, but rather interrelated with all of nature and the cosmos, my therapeutic approach is acknowledging that the body’s innate wisdom is to seek Health rather than dis-ease. My role therefore, is to facilitate reorganising of the body’s natural rhythms towards Health with a gentle ‘nudge’ through the use of plant medicine, nutrition, craniosacral therapy and cultivating mindfulness around lifestyle, dietary habits and body awareness. I have over 2 decades of clinical and teaching experience, however, presently I am on a sabbatical to channel my energy into creating a Wellness Centre near Raglan, as a space to learn, stay, restore and reconnect with nature & your inner self.

'There is nothing about your physical awareness that connects you more to the Non-Physical aspect of your Being than that of your breathing.
Many assume that the process of breathing is only about your physical nature, but that is not the case. The process of breathing is much more than an essential function of your physical body. Indeed, it is the flowing of Spirit to you, and through you'.

'Family, loved ones, and close associates present us with parts of ourselves that we have avoided for lifetimes. These can be the most challenging of all relationships, but they are also the most important ones to learn from'.

“Do I have a responsibility to make the whole world beat to my drum?” No, nor could you. You beat your drum, and the Universe will respond to the drum that you are beating… There are as many different worlds being lived by as many different perceivers of the world as there are perceivers of the worlds''.

'the scent of the breeze.
the texture of the sun’s light.
the loosening of thought and
the awareness of breath.
the journey as the destination.
what if there were nowhere to go,
and the purpose of each step was
its own birth?
and a smile need not a reason,
and a loneliness was only
a mind’s protective projection,
and the springing warmth swelling
within each heartbeat was all the love in the world?
and forgiveness flows like the way a bird does sing,
and gratitude-eyes do tear from all the beauty that is.
reminders from the day'.

In Honor of International Tiger Day:
"Resilient strength is the opposite of helplessness. The tree is made strong and resilient by its grounded root system. These roots take nourishment from the ground and grow strong. Grounding also allows the tree to be resilient so that it can yield to the winds of change and not be uprooted."
-Peter A. Levine, from Waking the Tiger
