5 surprising reasons you've been afraid of carbs.

In my 20s and early 30s, I sabotaged my own health in every way possible, and somewhere in there I picked up the belief that carbs were something to fear and control.

The freedom only came when I stopped restricting and started building sustainable habits - and that single shift changed my energy, my mood, and my whole relationship with food.

So here are the five reasons that fear took hold (and once you see them, you can't unsee them):

1️⃣ Diet culture sold you the idea that carbs are optional, when they're actually your brain and body's preferred fuel.
2️⃣ Every time you cut them too low and then "failed," you blamed yourself instead of the unsustainable plan.
3️⃣ You've never been shown the difference between carbs that nourish you and carbs that just don't fill you up.
4️⃣ As a busy woman, you've been handed rigid rules that were never designed to fit real life, school runs, or a packed week.
5️⃣ No one told you that eating enough of the right carbs at the right time will help your energy levels.

So this week, instead of fearing them, try simply choosing better carbs and pairing them with protein and fibre at each meal - then watch what happens to your afternoon energy when your body finally gets the fuel it's been asking for.

For most of my life, I struggled with low energy,
I was binge drinking, starving myself and restricting all of the foods that I enjoyed and didn't know how to change it.

I tried every solution out there, from diets to supplements to isagenix, hard core cardio, but nothing seemed to work and I was miserable.

I felt like giving up, thinking maybe there was something wrong with me.
But then I discovered how to fuel my body in a sustainable way for maximum energy, hormone balance and daily performance.

It was a game-changer for me, and I was amazed at how quickly I started seeing results.
Fast forward to today, and I'm a healthy weight and I have energy to carry out daily mum tasks and business tasks.

It's been a journey, but I'm so proud of how far I've come.
