Throwback Thursday!! Great surprises when going through a box looking for something else entirely! This photo featured in the September 1978 issue of The New Zealand Funeral Director magazine. An article was written on the business that then operated out of 47 King Street West (next to King Country Kitchens). Keep an eye on our website where we will be adding a History page to share more .........

✨️Matariki is a time of reflection, celebration and renewal. ✨️ It is a time to connect with loved ones past and present.
Each year at Matariki we return to our magnolia – The Tree of Remembrance in Motakiora-Brook Park to place the cards that were filled out with names and messages at the Remembrance Service we hold at the end of each year. This year was made even more special with the help of Phil and Janene’s grandchildren.
If you wish to visit the tree we planted, 🌳you will find it in the Memorial Grove in Motakiora-Brook Park near the rotunda. It is a beautiful place to be and we are delighted to have been able to find a respectful way to honour the memories written into each card.
