The story behind Mamma n' papa:
This koauau (Māori flute) was a commissioned piece created by Jo'el Komene - Rōreka. Her name is Rimu - she has a nice voice

The karakia shared here is a whakakapi - a prayer and closing acknowledgement used to bring completion to the video shoot of Mamma n' papa, giving thanks, reflecting on what has been shared, and sending everyone forward with mana and aroha.

The Story Behind the Song:
Chloe is our Director of Photography (DOP) Tākiwatanga- diagnosed with autism at the age of four, she's faced her own challenges, but I see her neurodiversity as one of her strengths. I love working alongside her.

I've enjoyed sharing my experience and encouraging her to believe in herself, keep developing her skills, and grow in confidence. In return, she brings her skills, creativity, and commitment to every project.

I come up with the creative concepts and vision, and Chloe brings them to life through the camera. She's never afraid to roll up her sleeves, get her hands dirty, or even roll up her pants and jump into the water to capture the perfect shot. That's Chloe, hard-working, fearless, and completely committed to getting the best result.
