Every now and then you meet someone who is not only brilliant at what they do, but is also just a genuinely great person. That's Craig to a tee!
I had the joy of meeting Craig Dalton Osteopathy recently at his practice on Manners, right in the heart of the CBD. Craig is easy-going, kind, and has such a calm way of explaining things. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping people, not just treating them! I came away really impressed by both his knowledge and the way he approaches his work.
Before becoming an osteopath, Craig spent ten years as a mechanical engineer. He was surprised to find that his skills solving complex problems and thinking critically translated very well into the world of osteopathy. After dealing with chronic back pain himself from years of martial arts and skateboarding, he decided to make a shift to help others experiencing the same thing. It was a big leap, but it's clear he found exactly what he was meant to do.
Wellington always felt like home for Craig, and the exact type of place he wanted to raise a family, particularly loving the welcoming community and the unique balance between the active outdoors and city life. Now, alongside his wife and their 10-month-old daughter, we're lucky to have him here. When he’s not at his clinic you’ll find him on his skateboard or climbing at Faultline!
Whether you've got a sports injury, a sore neck that's been hanging around for months (like me), or you've just been putting up with aches that you think are "normal", Craig is someone I'd recommend to get an easy to understand view of what’s really going on. You also don’t need a referral to see an Osteopath, they can lodge ACC claims for new injuries to help guide people through their recovery.
It's always a pleasure shining a light on good people doing great things in our city, and Craig is absolutely one of them.
