It shouldn't be considered controversial, but this book put a lot of noses out. It's incredible how emotionally charged the history of God is💯.

I read this in a couple of sittings and couldn't put it down. There was nothing new under the sun, but the way he summarises how God transitioned from place to place, over the course of mankind was succinct and entertaining. There were only a few pages focussed on Egypt, but when talking religion, I've come to expect that🙄.

This is the second book of Reza's that I've read. A well informed author who does his research. His notes section is almost as long as the book itself.

If anyone locally wants this book (Wellington), let me know and I'll give it to you 💙. Knowledge is power 💪. I found it at an op shop for $2 last month, but I still see it at bookshops for $40.

Our modern idea of beauty is skin deep. The Egyptians believed you were beautiful if you had a kind and generous heart, and spoke in ways that made the world a better place.🙌

Nature was God, which is why they are represented by a flag erect in the wind. God managed the mystery realm where weather, seasons and cycles were controlled🧮.

As above so below. Born of the womb to then stand on the fertile womb, the basket (earth) held such great potential. His basket was brimming with seeds🫘🍆.

Egypt had a north and south. Many myths involved the coming together of the two, to become one. A main principle of their Hermetic belief system. The Pharoah was a great uniter🫂.

Such a short statement, yet so much information is held within the symbols. A beautiful language to learn. Our age and time could benefit so much from the way of the Egyptians. A time where just the breeze upon your face on a hot day was considered a kiss from God😘.

Yayyyyyy, snow. AND the Remutaka hill is back open again. Home time 💯. Dunno how long it'll stay open like this. The camper said it was 2° outside.

Let's reflect 🤔. When I lived in Los Angeles, practically a desert, water was free. When I lived in Michigan, a state surrounded by fresh water, it cost a fortune. The constant greed astounded me.

Growing up in Wellington, I never thought that you could charge a bill for something considered a human right. Call me an idealist.💯

Fast forward a few years, water became profitable, and shareholders took dividends🤑🤑🤑. With years of mismanagement and ill-spent funds, Wellington is in catch-up mode. I went to school with Nick Leggett (head of disgraced Wgtn Water), who was an idealist. You know what they say about power? 🫠

Change happens when it's forced. That works both ways. If collectively no-one paid their bills, what would they do to everyone? It takes the masses revolting to enforce change. Or we're stuck in a revolting mess.

This pic is from 2012. Turns out the reflecting pool has been a contractors dream for years. Cha ching. 😶

They don't make them like they used to🦅. Thirty-six years old, almost four hours, telling a tale that never seems to end.🪦

Expansion at any expense, cultures dishonoured and disintegrated because they happen to live on land someone else wants. When that expanding force lacks any morals, how do you compete?⚰️

Where are all our Lieutenant John Dunbars?🪖 Educated, with poise, patience, no ego, and a keen spirit for curiosity. Two ears and one mouth. Something our leading men and male heads of state need more of.🪶

Dances with Wolves is a great watch. Two discs 😮 Long, but well worth the journey and heartache 🐴💔.

I get all my dvds at op shops, stopping off at different towns in my camper. No more than $3 each. They all get recycled back into the system again, normally at my free Tawa Community cupboard for someone else to watch on the house💙

This is how you build a prison disguised as community.⛓️

We must protest with our wallets, and our votes. I grow, share and support small local businesses💙. One less dollar for a big guy, is one more dollar for the community. I'm selective of the brands I support. If we all collectively became more discerning, we will force change. 💪

Our power prices are absurd, as well as food and petrol. Almost everything that makes a decent society is dismissed for more wealth🤑. Our cowards in power still bow to the US, prioritising a couple of billion dollar war helicopters over a functioning medical or fire and emergency system🔨.

A collapse is coming. Just look at Wellington and house prices/rates/water. There's not much cookie left to crumble.

Many Kiwis feel like they’re going backwards at the moment.

Good for mind, body and soul, Rosemary offers flavour, scent and beauty.💙🙌

Great for lowering inflammation, and calming the nerves, snip yourself a sprig today✂️. Try drying the leaves for tea, or cooking with roast veges. Take a deep breath in, and allow the scent to work its magic on your insides, or make a wee bundle to beautify your surroundings💐.

Used for thousands of years, introduce Rosemary in as a friend to your home and kitchen🫶.

Heliochrysum are known as everlasting flowers🪷. Believing God lived in nature, these non-dying paper flowers were especially heavenly to the Egyptians🫶.

Used to beautify people and places, they were bunched, or strung and hung. They were also worn like crowns, or necklaces on the deceased. Living forever, they accompanied you into eternity.💍

The term Krist (Christ) goes back to Egypt, and refers to oils and balms anointing the deceased body. The oil of the flowers pictured was also used to awaken and stimulate the Gods into helping to resurrect the soul📯.

These are straight from my garden. Surviving winter, they're a little splash of colour in these colder months😍.

Spices were worth their weight in gold👑. Not just because of their flavour, it's because they were medicinal.

Picked when fresh, and dried under the sun, seeds, berries, roots, leaves, barks and all nature of earths flavoursome goodness was used by herbalists to treat sniffles, sepsis, cramps or coughs. Mixed with food and drinks (magical elixirs✨️), herbs and spices kept us healthy.

We still use them today, but they've lost their significance for health. A little bit of research, and you could find by simply using white pepper instead of black, you'll help lower bodily inflammation, or by spicing up your dishes with red chilli, your blood and metabolism with thank you for it.

We could all benefit, by spicing up our lives 🫚🌶🌰🪾🌱🌸
