Bek in Balance KCR

Bek in Balance KCR KCR (Kinetic Chain Release) is a series of stretches and mobilisations that's designed to get you body back into balance.

Get in touch to get yourself back into balance, with Bek in Balance I started my KCR journey whilst living in Edinburgh in 2016, and after seeing a sign for treatment and thought ‘what have I got to lose?!’ That treatment I had left me walking away pain free, and so I wanted to know more. When I discovered that Hugh Gilbert had designed KCR for anyone to learn (I didn’t have a history in bodywork

then) I was in! I completed my Kinetic Chain Release level 1 (KCR 1) training that year and in subsequent years have added more courses to my belt, and have now completed the KCR Pathway to Bodywork Mastery. Over the years of treating clients of all ages and family and friends I’ve witnessed some incredible results; I’m now delighted to say I’ll be able to offer sessions as well as training in this wonderful protocol, so others in Aotearoa New Zealand can benefit! Starting off with offering sessions on a Friday in Khandallah, I intend to get the word out so more people can benefit from this amazing modality, and also start training others, so more across the motu can reap the benefits.

On Tuesday I'll be off to Scotland to do further training in Connective Tissue Release, at the KCR Academy :D As it's so far one has to add on some personal travel, so I'll be back in early August. My first Sunday and Friday's back I'm booked out, so next available appointment will be Sunday 30 August! In the meantime, if you're feeling a bit niggly / stiff and keen to try out some fascial stretching, I highly recommend Kim at Sheridan Stretch Therapy (Mirimar and Petone locations). Or if you're wanting a different treatment in the same space, then Megan at Body Awareness is a great craniosacral therapist.
I'll make a couple of posts from my training, however until then.... enjoy this stunning image of Edinburgh :D
Cheers - Bek

Thanks so much for the awesome review, Kimberley! It means so much when a client leaves a review - not only does it make my day, but as a very small business, it helps me build and grow my practice. As the only KCR practitioner in the country, each review is getting the word out even more.
If you've ever had a great experience with a small business, please take the time to leave a review - even if only a few words. Those words will help them grow, and that means a heck of a lot :)

I can most definitely vouch for how good it is to be on an uneven trail, yet feel even in myself and balanced. I notice my hips, knees and feet feel so much more stable, strong and supportive - so important when out trekking.
If you're a keen walker but feeling a bit out of whack, then it's time to reset and get back into balance! Flick me a message to know more, or book online here: https://bekinbalance.simplybook.net/v2/ #

Hill walking asks a lot of the body — hips, knees, ankles, and lower back all working together over uneven ground.
When one part is out, everything else compensates.
Kinetic Chain Release™ (KCR) works to rebalance the body — helping reduce strain, improve movement, and support recovery. Book your session today.
