Exciting changes are happening at Wholey Health!

This will be the last week trading at our store in Whakapara (for now...)

From Tuesday 25th August, you'll find us in our brand new location in central Hikurangi, right next to the cafe.

Our Whakapara shop is open every day this week until Friday 21st, 9am - 5pm, so you can still stop in to grab everything you need for the week.

KAI SOVEREIGNTY STARTS LOCALLY

Have you seen Climate Action Tai Tokerau’s "A Kai Sovereignty Project”?

We’re proud that WholeyHealth! Village Market is featured in this video, because this kaupapa is at the heart of why our market exists.

Kai sovereignty is about having a food system where our communities can grow, produce, buy and share good local kai, while keeping food, knowledge and money circulating within our communities.

But for us, it’s also about community, connection, creativity and the skills that make our communities strong.

This is what we work towards at WholeyHealth!

🪧A little WholeyHealth! update:

For those who are new to our page, we are currently based in Whakapara. In about two weeks, we will be relocating the Village Market to Hikurangi, while our Whakapara location will be temporarily closed.

We’re really looking forward to this next chapter and to continuing to build a strong local food and community hub in Hikurangi.

A few of the more exciting items we have in this week include fresh mushrooms (brown & button), brussel sprouts, yams, Mahoe Cheeses, and several varieties of organic apples for just $4.99 per kg.

We also have organic & conventional cabbages, cauli flower, Avocados for just $1.50 each, organic leeks (but be quick!) plus all the standard winter fruit and vegetables like kumara, potatoes, organic pumpkins, carrots, onions (organic and conventional), broccoli, salad greens, organic kiwifruit (green & gold), oranges (Navel and Kiyomi), lemons and limes. Open today (Thursday 16th) and tomorrow (Friday 17th) 9am – 5pm.
Come and grab fresh button mushrooms (but be quick!), organic avocados, apples, and big juicy yams.

We have everything you need for hearty winter meals, including kumara, organic pumpkins, carrots, swede, potatoes, onions, along with two types of chilli if you like things a little spicy.

It is not "Conspiracy-Theory" or "Misinformation" ..it is "Information" and worthy of consideration...

There is plenty of evidence that there is risk to users, long term soil health, and consumer health! I do suggest that you read to the end and see the commonsense. Industry-led investigation is, of course, dodgey-as...there are so many historical and recent examples.
