Our company has a well-established and trusted name in the Funeral Industry. Willetts Funeral Services has been in business since 1990 covering the Eastern Bay of Plenty and New Zealand. Our Chapel seats 120 comfortably and for larger services we open up the back of the chapel, seating a further 100 people. The chapel is fully air conditioned and is spacious and comfortable with high quality soun

d equipment and a digital projector for photo presentations, an electric organ and video facilities to record the service. For family members that are unable to attend, We have available a live Funeral Streaming Service. Due to different reasons, sometimes family or friends may not be able to attend the funeral but now with the latest technology we are able to offer a Funeral Streaming service, the next best thing to being there. We are fully wheelchair friendly with a ramp at the rear of the chapel allowing access to the adjoining lounge, kitchen area and bathrooms. Our reception lounge and kitchen provides a place for light refreshments following the service. We also have two private family rooms.

Loved son of Colleen and Brian (dec), brother of Blair and Lynnare (dec).

Father and father-in-law of Leigha, James and Julia, Zane and Chloe, and Dylan and Amy. Loved granddad to Tilah, Jax, Coby, Carter, Bodhi, Eden, Aubrey with 2 more boys on the way.

John was happiest with the simple things in life — a cold b**r, a cigarette and a good yarn with good company.

In accordance with Johns wishes, a private family service and cremation has been held.

Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Susan and Peter (Dec) Sparrow, Wendy and Malcolm Rowson.
Stepmother to Ian's Children.
Adored Grandma of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A graveside family service has been held and she is now at rest with Ian.

Beloved husband, soulmate and best friend of Petra. Much loved father and father-in-law of Sarah-Lee and Grant Sisson, and Clare Parkinson. Adored Grandpa of Hayden, Sophie, Georgia and Leo. Adored brother of Valma (dec), Rona (dec), June (dec), Betty (dec), Sue, and Rhonda.

A celebration of Ray’s life will be held in the chapel of Willetts Funeral Services, 21 King Street, Whakatane on Tuesday 8th September at 11am followed by a private cremation.
The service will be livestreamed from the Willetts Funeral Services website, - chapel streaming.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Society Eastern Bay of Plenty, and may be left at the service.

Suddenly but quickly on Monday 17th August 2026 at home.

Survived by his best friend Mitzi. Father of Adrian (dec), Amy and Brendan. Husband to Lesley Staniland (dec). Big brother to Susan, Jill and John.

Peter (Dad) leaves behind many drones, many photos (at least 50% of them his dog!) and too many resistors to count.
He will be missed for his contributions to the flying community, his love of photography, electronics and music.

A celebration of Peter's life will be held in the Whakatāne Crematorium Chapel, Ohope Road, Whakatāne, on Friday 28th August at 11am, followed by a private cremation.

Treasured wife of William Ross (deceased). Dearly loved mum of William Jnr and Layney; Gillian and the late Nicholas Goff; and Ian and Melissa Ross. A much loved grandma and great grandma.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Whakatāne Hospital and Mary Shapley for the care, compassion, and dignity shown to Moira.
The family also wishes to acknowledge Kyle Mercer from Willetts Funeral Services, and Rev Chris Barnard for their support and guidance.
