Hi Frens! Rodney here. August is nearly over and soon it will be Spring again for those of you living in the southern hemisphere. I think it is called Fall in the northern hemisphere.
Thankyou to everyone for your kind messages and postings for my Rainbow Bridge Anniversary. Your kindnesses haven’t gone un noticed.
I has been watching the happenings at Mum & Dads this month. They has had a very busy few weeks with the animals misbehavings. Wee doggo Maddie hurt her back again and had to have a special hoperation. She is wobbly walking now but Mum says even wobbling walking is fantastic considering the surgeons outlook was not very good. Dad bought her a pushchair so she can get out and about and he doesn’t mind pushing her one little bit! Mac the black Labrador then decided he wasn’t getting enough attentions & developed something called pancreatitis. He is doing so much better now but Mum & Dad thought there was a high pawsibility he might be joining me here because he was so unwell. Thankfully he was needed more down there with them. Never a dull moment at the farm!
Meantimes, I has also been a busy boy with my impawtants meeting and greeting duties. Here are just a few of the new arrivals to the Rainbow Bridge:
Lily Carson, Puss, Margaret the Possum, Ruby Tamati, Jemima Dais, Jeremy of Cats Protection Wellington, Stranger Rissetto, Loki “Fatty” Trevethick, Roo of Venus the Two Face Cat & Venus the Two Face Cat, Winny the Crab (reunited with Howie) & Doggo Gizmo of Gizmo’s Frens.
While there has been a lot of sadness, some happy mews to brighten your weekend. Mum was out feeding the chickems and something tapped her on the back of her leg. Do you all remembers when Mum found a stray egg on the farm last year & popped it under mama chickem? Well, Fluffy Duck is back & she has brought her most handsome boyfren with her. It looks like we might be in for some Fluffy Duck “Beeps” this season. Watch this space…………

Hi Frens. Steps the Tauranga Hospital Suppawt KItteh has gone missing. It is believed he has been uplifted as his wee house has gone too. If you live in the Bay Area or know anyone who has recently “acquired” a new kitteh, pwease let the Tauranga Hospital know. He is badly missed & wanted home where he belongs. Pwease share far & wide so spread the word so whomever has Steps does the right thing. ###🐾💞🌈

The community is searching for Steps, who was last seen about 11pm on Monday.

Hi Frens. Rodney here with your Rainbow Bridge update. Sadly, it has been another busy period for us here at “The Bridge” with lots of new arrivals. The tragedies in the world have impacted not only hoomans, but their pets, livestock & wildlife. War, Earthquakes, Floodings & Wildfires have taken their toll and, sadly, many many sets of Angels Wings has needed to be issued. We has also had a huge number of new Angels arrive here for no reason other than living in areas they shouldn’t be (according to some Hooman hunters). Devastatingly, many of these new arrivals had homes, and families looking for them and never got the opportunity to be reunited with them like I was. Whilst so called Feral Kittehs can be a nuisance, they are also very good at keeping the pest population down. I myself survived on rats & mice during my times in the wilds which is also the diet many of the other wild fur frens I met along the way filled their tummies with too.
All new arrivals have been warmly welcomed and are settling in well. Here are some of them:
Toby Walsh, Gizmo & Mineme Nixon, Doggo Cole, Zest Ireland, Spooky the Cat, Binoo the Chicken, Bowie of The NZ Cat Foundation, Miss Murderpins of Loulou the Superdog & Sage of Madam “Sage” Boutique - the Whanganui East Cat.
All these Angel Fur Babies are watching over their families ((Hooman & Fur) and send their lurrves to them. Treat ebryone with kindness as your efforts may be the only one they receive &, as you already know, I is all about the kindness. Until next time, sending hugs, your boy, Rodney ###🐾💞🌈

Hi Frens. Rodney here from the Rainbow Bridge. I thoughts I might change my regular post up with something different for you this weekend. Here is a flashback to when I came home to stay with Mum & Dad after you all rallied to get me there when I was lost (twice). Even though I do miss them terribly, I am still close by and continue my impawtants job here at the Rainbow Bridge. Hi everyone. Raye & Shane here. We would like to take the opportunity to thank each & every one of you for your kind words and messages following the heartbreaking loss of Barney. We have read them all & in time will respond. Like Rodney, Barneys life with us was far shorter than we wanted but was filled with love, cuddles and a perpetually full tummy & warm bed (of which there were many dotted around the farm). Barney returned home to us this evening and is currently in his favourite sleeping spot in the lounge. We are so privileged in Wanganui to have the services of Bryce & Sandy Coneybeer of Cremate-a-Mate who showed the utmost kindness to us (& Barney) & made the process so much easier to bear. We couldn‘t recommend them any higher knowing Barney was well taken care of whilst in their care. We know Barney will be having a good catch up with Rodney and will be “counting” endless bunnies up at Rainbow Bridge ###🐾💞🌈🪽

”Hi Mum, Hi Dad! It’s me Barney. I made it safely to the Rainbow Bridge. Rodney was already waiting for me & gave me my Angels Wings.
aren’t they just spectacular? I am healthy again and no longer in any pain. Rainbow Bridge is such a bootiful place. The sun is always shining & there are flowers and butterflies everywhere. There are loads of bunnies here too for me to chase but don’t worry, I will never catch them like I did at the farm. (That is someone else’s job now). All the animals here are super friendly. I have already met Grandpa Buster & KitKat (who is showing me the ropes). I know you will both miss me but I am watching over you and one day, when the time is right, I might even send another stable kitteh your way to be spoiled the same way I was. Thankyou for giving me such a great home, a full tummy & a warm bed to sleep in each night. Thankyou also for caring enough to help me cross the Rainbow Bridge when you could see my body giving out. Remember, this is not goodbye, it’s just see you later. Your boy, Barney ###🐾💞🌈🪽”

Hi Frens. Rodney here with your Rainbow Bridge update. We sadly continue to have many new Angel Fur Frens arrive as a result of the conflict in the Middle East. Grandpa Buster has been particularly busy caring for the many new Angel Fur Babies that have sadly crossed the Rainbow Bridge because of this and is doing such a great job. Like you however, we are hoping and praying that there will be a resolution to this conflict very soon. Speaking of Grandpa Buster, many of you are following Kitty Kingdom Wellington-Cat Sanctuary and may have noticed a recent new & strangly familiar arrival. (Grandpa Buster may have pawsibly played a teensy part in sending Buster 2.0 to Aunty Alice to halps here care for the babies.) Grandpa Buster is so proud of his protege and his following his progress from up here.
Other recent arrivals include:
Wee Man of Kitty Kingdom Wellington-Cat Sanctuary, Ginger Ninja of Ellerslie Community Group, Mia Archbold, Zorro Rose, Doggo Etta & Frankie Lee.
Keep sending me the names of your Angel Fur Frens so I can keep an eye and a paw out for them for you.
As you all know, I is all about the kindness and Mum wants to make a special mention on my behalf’s. Times are becoming increasingly difficult because of the Middle East Conflict and the economic fallout from this. Be aware of those in our community who are really struggling to make ends meet, especially now. If you have a veggie garden or an orchard, keep an eye out for the special roadside stands where people needing help can get supplies. You may see the special little bins at the supermarket where an extra can of food can be dropped to help those less fortunate. You may also be cleaning out your linen cupboards and have extra towels or bedding you can donate to a rescue to halps them through the colder months. Hi Frens. Rodney here with your Rainbow Bridge update. I apawlogise for the delays but am back again in all my glories. My works here continues. We have had a huge amount of Angel Fur Frens arrive as a result of a terrible conflict in the Northern Hemisphere. Our thoughts are with ebryone who has been affected and we all hope the powers that be can bring an early resolution & peace & harmony will return soon.
On a brighter note, Mum & Dad called in to Aunty Vivs during the week. They were on there way to a very special 80th Birthday (not to name drop but feel free to wish my very special Aunty Joy P a Happy Birthday). Mum spotted KitKats gorgeous meomorial stone at the front entrance of Vivs Kitchen (complete with her Hi Viz Vest). Make sures to check it out next times you visit. Aunty Viv also has a bootiful mural commission underway there at the moment. Many of you feline fans will be familiar with Swiftmantis and this latest works will not disappoint. I can sees lots of Selfies being taken in Aunty Vivs Kitchens carpark soon.
Grandpa Buster, KitKat & I has issued Angels Wings to many new arrivals over recent days and weeks. Here are just some of them:
