A little extra care for new pēpi and their whānau 🤍
Our postnatal care packages have been thoughtfully put together to support families during those precious first days at home.

A small gesture to remind our Taihape Health Maternity whānau that we’re here for you every step of the way.

‼👉 It was a privilege to present at the GP26 Conference in Auckland this week, sharing our Whanganui experience of embedding Physiotherapy and Allied Health within General Practice teams. 🩺🩻

👏 A huge thank you to our co-presenters and colleagues from across the Whanganui rohe whose experiences, ideas and commitment helped shape this work. This presentation reflects a genuine team effort and shared learning. We're grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the national conversation about the future of integrated primary care and look forward to seeing how these ideas continue to evolve! 💙💙

Kaumātua Tech 2026

NTOTA and WRHN held our first Kaumātua Tech sessions for 2026 during the school holidays on the 8th and 10th of April

8 April – Phone Basics Session
We focused on building confidence with:
Phone basics
Password safety
Emails
There was lots of learning, support, and great kōrero around staying safe online.

10 April – Manage My Health
We were lucky to have Karen from WRHN come in and support our kaumātua to work through the Manage My Health app, helping them understand how to access their health information online and use the app with confidence

It was awesome to see our kaumātua supporting each other, asking questions, and growing their confidence with plenty of laughs and kai along the way

Ngā mihi to everyone who came along and supported these sessions

We’re looking forward to continuing this kaupapa and supporting more of our kaumātua with tech skills.

On Saturday 11 July, our WRHN team had the privilege of spending time with our Pasifika youth. As always, there were plenty of laughs, great conversations, and positive vibes.

What made this session especially meaningful was the collaboration between faith and health. Together, we explored how scripture and Bible verses encourage us to care for our bodies.

As health professionals, it's important that we adapt our approach to meet our communities where they are. By connecting health messages with faith, we're able to have conversations that are culturally meaningful, relevant, and responsive to what our people are asking for.

A huge thank you to everyone who welcomed us. We look forward to continuing these partnerships that strengthen both the physical and spiritual wellbeing of our Pasifika communities
