✨ Professional registration in hypnotherapy really matters ✨
Something many people are surprised to learn is that hypnotherapy in New Zealand is not government regulated. This means qualifications, experience, and professional standards can vary significantly between practitioners.
That’s one reason I believe professional membership and registration are so important 💛
I’m honoured to be registered at the highest level with both:
🌿 Hypnosis New Zealand
🌿 The New Zealand Association of Professional Hypnotherapists (NZAPH)
These registrations reflect extensive professional training, clinical experience, and a commitment to maintaining high ethical and professional standards within the industry.
Maintaining professional registration requires ongoing commitments including:
✨ Continued professional development and education
✨ Supervision and accountability
✨ Police vetting/screening
✨ Current first aid certification
✨ Ethical, client-centred practice
✨ Ongoing commitment to safe and professional care
For me, supporting clients is about far more than simply using techniques. It’s about creating a space where people feel safe, understood, respected, and supported while working through challenges and creating meaningful change.
Whether clients come for anxiety, fears and phobias, trauma, emotional wellbeing, confidence, habits, or personal growth, they deserve support from someone who values professionalism, integrity, and lifelong learning.
Finding the right hypnotherapist is a very personal choice and knowing your practitioner is properly trained, professionally registered, and accountable can offer real peace of mind ✨
