Craniosacral therapy is a client-led, non-manipulative, gentle, whole-body therapy carried out sitting or lying on a massage table. My business is based on meeting my clients in whatever way their health is being expressed, both in the initial consultation and while they are on the table.' We embody all we have become', and it is imperative that I maintain a state of therapeutic 'listening' through my hands and all of my senses, based on acquired skills and respect. When we feel 'well-met', on all levels, the system can relax and the transitions of change and challenge can be negotiated within the client's own comfort and security. I actively involve myself and my client in creating an environment of confidentiality and trust. Together we establish the rules of safety within the boundaries of the treatment and any subsequent referrals. Craniosacral therapy is helpful and effective with most conditions and is suitable for all ages including newborns, infants, the elderly and people with delicate degenerative or painful conditions. Babies are especially responsive and such conditions as colic and reflux are successfully resolved with CST. Mums are encouraged to receive treatments to assist with their vitality, well being and any change in patterns that the birth and pregnancy may have induced. CST is deeply relaxing and empowering, as the practitioner is facilitating the client's processes. By supporting the existing health and consciously linking into individual resourcing the intelligence of life can unfold.
