What an exciting time for Morris & Morris! 🎉
We’re thrilled to be officially open in Waipu.
To celebrate, we gathered on Saturday night for an incredible dinner from Breeze Spit Roast and Catering Limited – delicious food, great company, and plenty of reasons to celebrate this new chapter.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. We’re looking forward to being part of the Waipu community and can’t wait to see what’s ahead!

At Morris & Morris Funerals, we believe a funeral should be as unique as the life it celebrates.

Recently, a story captured hearts across New Zealand when a man's final farewell reflected his personality, humour, and the joy he brought to those around him. It was a powerful reminder that funerals aren't just about saying goodbye—they're about remembering how someone lived.

Whether it's a favourite song, a special vehicle, a cherished hobby, or a moment of laughter shared among family and friends, personal touches can transform a funeral into a meaningful celebration of life.

Every person leaves behind a story. We believe their farewell should help tell it.

At Morris & Morris, we're here to help families create services that honour memories, celebrate individuality, and bring comfort through reflection, connection, and remembrance.

Because a life well lived deserves to be remembered in a way that feels true to the person behind it.

We're proud to be supporting Dying Matters Week alongside Go With Grace, helping to encourage open and meaningful conversations about death, dying, and grief.

At Morris & Morris, we understand that planning ahead and discussing end-of-life wishes can be difficult, but these conversations can bring comfort, clarity, and peace of mind for loved ones.

Dying Matters Week is an important opportunity to break down taboos, share experiences, and empower people to talk about what matters most.

Thank you to Go With Grace for the valuable work they do in supporting individuals and families through life's most challenging moments.

At Morris & Morris Funerals, we believe music has a unique way of bringing people together and creating memories that last a lifetime.

That's why we're proud to support Whangārei's talented young musicians by providing free printing of the programme for their upcoming show.

Music has a special ability to connect generations, spark cherished memories, and celebrate life's important moments. By helping our local youth share their passion and talent with the community, we're investing in the future while honouring the memories that music helps us keep alive.

We wish all the performers the very best for their show and encourage everyone to come along and support these amazing young artists.

We're delighted to be a proud sponsor of The Best Dog Trust. As a team of animal lovers, we're especially proud to support the incredible work they do for dogs and the families who love them.

The Trust's commitment to promoting canine wellbeing and strengthening the bond between people and their pets makes a real difference in our community, and we're grateful to contribute to such meaningful work.

The photos shared are of our staff’s own beloved pets—an extra personal touch that reflects just how close to our hearts this cause is.

Together, we're helping build a stronger, more caring community—one wagging tail at a time.

I wish more people knew this:

you never truly "move on" from loosing someone — and you don't have to.

Memories stay with you in ways you can't explain. Healing isn't about forgetting or moving on; it's about learning to move forward with grief.

What's something you wish people understood?
