A huge heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who came to our library talk/demo today on Full Spectrum Bodywork!

We began with a mini gong bath and went from there to Deep Tissue Massage, filling in many of the gaps between the two, energy work, nervous system work, lymphatic and myofascial work, craniosacral, polarity, Asian Bodywork… giving an understanding of their connectivity and the value of having a depth of training and understanding, not so that you can come to us for sessions but so that you can be better informed about the benefits of the full spectrum of bodywork, how working with it is more beneficial than what most people already know about… Swedish Massage & Deep Tissue.

Gong Bath Bliss: A practice, not just an experience!

Gong Baths are not just an experience, it’s a practice, just like yoga is. It’s a practice where you do nothing but allow the sounds and vibrations to do their work. Each session shifts you through the waves and patterns of sound and vibration, clearing pathways and bringing you closer to physical, emotional and psychological health.

Each session takes you deep, bringing to the surface what you need to notice, or clearing blockages, giving you a sense of peace and calm, going to where the pain or physical restrictions or illness lives, balancing your energies, optimizing brain function, detoxing your cerebral spinal fluid and lymphatic system, balancing your nervous system, taking you on a journey… there’s no end to the possibilities.

“Sleep is not passive. Every night, during the deepest stages of slow-wave sleep, your brain conducts a molecular housecleaning operation of staggering efficiency — and without it, the seeds of Alzheimer's disease may be sown with every restless night. A 2025 study from the Boston University Neuroscience division used simultaneous EEG, functional MRI, and flow-sensitive MRI in 119 healthy adults across a range of ages to directly image cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) dynamics during natural sleep, confirming that large-amplitude waves of CSF pulse through the brain in precise synchrony with the slow neural oscillations of deep sleep, physically flushing amyloid-beta and tau protein out of the brain parenchyma.

The mechanism depends critically on synchrony. During slow-wave sleep, large populations of cortical neurons fire together then fall silent together, creating rhythmic changes in cerebral blood volume. Each time a wave of neural activity falls silent, blood briefly exits the cortex, creating a pressure gradient that draws a fresh pulse of CSF inward. This pulsatile flow drives the glymphatic system — the brain's perivascular waste drainage network — at its maximum efficiency. Disrupted slow-wave sleep breaks the synchrony, and glymphatic clearance drops by up to 70%.

The aging connection is stark. Slow-wave sleep diminishes with age, beginning the very decade of life — the 40s — when Alzheimer's pathology starts its 20-year silent accumulation. Researchers are now testing acoustic stimulation — gentle sounds timed to boost slow-wave sleep oscillations — as a non-pharmacological method of enhancing glymphatic clearance. Early trials showed a 28% increase in CSF flush rate in participants using the acoustic protocol.

The most powerful Alzheimer's prevention drug may already exist. It is called deep sleep.”

Our Saturday & Sunday 90-minute donation-based Gong Bath Bliss begin at 9am in our beautiful location in Alto Boquete. A location pin can be found in Waze and Google Maps under The Gong Lab.

This weekend and next weekend are both Silent Gong Baths. They’re mini silent retreats. Silence begins when you enter the gate and ends when you leave the gate. The only sounds are the gongs, crystal bowls, Himalayan singing bowls, drums, chimes, etc.

There are openings on all days.

Silence begins when you enter the gate and ends when you leave and walk back through the gate.

There is no verbal greetings or goodbyes (hugs are always welcome), no intro or information given.
