The Real Meaning of Integration

Two years after his dieta, one of our former guests sent me this. With his permission, I’m sharing his story:
“Six weeks ago I was arrested and spent 4 days in jail. It was identity fraud — someone stole my credit card numbers and rented a car in my name.
Luckily I could prove it wasn’t me and now they closed my case.
In jail I thought about my time in the jungle and the ceremonies.
I felt really strong and just accepted it.
Sat through it.”
Life tested him in an unexpected way.
The teachings were still alive in him.
Not in ceremony.
Not in the maloca.
But in a jail cell in Austria.
What stayed with him were not visions or stories —
but the capacity to sit.
To breathe.
To remain centered under pressure.
This is the deeper work of dieta.
The tools are quiet.
But when life becomes intense, they are there.
This is long-term integration.
