Aya Healing Retreats hosts transformative sacred plant medicine retreats in the spiritual homeland of the Shipibo people near the small port city of Pucallpa in the Peruvian Amazon. Our healing work is grounded in the sacred traditions of the indigenous Shipibo people and is facilitated by highly respected female and male curanderos who have been apprenticed in shamanism from a young age. We offer

intimate 12 day retreats in the Amazon rainforest which are held at the breathtakingly beautiful Sui Sui Centre on Lake Cashibocacha. Our retreats invite participants to let go of limiting beliefs and buried wounding and to experience profound spiritual, emotional and physical healing and detoxification. Our small group sizes ensure that each guest receives the attention and care necessary for them to experience deep healing. Aya Healing Retreats recognises that indigenous wisdom offers a powerful, unique and holistic path to healing that is absent from the Western medical paradigm. We use Ayahuasca and various Master Plants, alongside massage, vapour and plant baths, workshops and post- retreat integration support to create a life-changing and traditional experience for our guests. Today, I want to share a little of my journey with Noya Rao.

Known by the Shipibo as “El Camino de la Verdad” (The Path of Truth) and also revered as the Tree of Light, Noya Rao is one of the rarest Master Plants of the Amazon. She is traditionally associated with clarity, intuition, inner illumination, and a deeper connection to one’s authentic self. For many, her teachings invite honesty, presence, and the courage to express what has long remained hidden.

This is why we created Voice of Light: a retreat that brings together the sacred Master Plant Dieta with vocal expression, breathwork, chanting, and the healing power of your own voice.

It has been an honor to witness so many people reconnect with themselves through this work, and my hope is that even more people feel called to begin this journey with Noya Rao.

We are happy to finally share a new retreat format at AYA Healing Retreats.

For the first time, we are opening a 7-day journey that brings together two sacred ancestral medicines: Ayahuasca and Huachuma / San Pedro.

This retreat has been carefully created as a complete journey in its own right — not a replacement for our Master Plant Dieta programs, but a new doorway into plant medicine work.

Over seven days, participants will be held in a carefully prepared container that includes:

• Shipibo-led Ayahuasca ceremonies with Maestro Don Miguel
• A Huachuma / San Pedro ceremony held by an experienced facilitator
• Preparation and integration support
• Guidance from our facilitation team
• A small group setting
• Private jungle tambos
• A safe and supportive environment at El Encanto de Chullachaqui, Iquitos, Peru.

This journey through our Master Plants is an invitation to meet the guardians of our center, medicines grown and harvested directly from the ancestral lands of Don Miguel. These teachers carry the frequency of the jungle and the ancient prayers of the Shipibo-Konibo tradition.

To diet a Master Plant is to enter a biological and energetic contract. It is not merely about consumption, but about isolation and restriction to allow the plant’s “icaros” and wisdom to rewire the nervous system.
