Part I

Bataan St. Joseph Hospital & Medical Center Corp. successfully held its 3rd TIMEBOUND: From Scene to Hospital — Management of Stroke and Heart Attack on May 13, 2026 at the Grand Plaza Ballroom, The Plaza Hotel, Balanga City, Bataan. The symposium was organized in collaboration with the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Health Services Unit and attended by employees from various BPSU campuses.

We express our sincere gratitude to BPSU President Dr. Ruby B. Santos-Matibag, University Physician Dr. Gracelle Ann Del Rosario-Malungcut, and Ms. Hazel V. Gonzales, Nurse III of Abucay Campus amd the rest of the BPSU Health Services Unit, for their collaboration in making this event possible. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Angel B. Aquino for his steadfast support and leadership in promoting health awareness.

Announcement: Pre-Enrolment Medical Screening for Continuing Students (SY 2026–2027)

All incoming 2nd and 3rd year students are advised to undergo the required pre-enrolment medical screening on the schedules dates. This is a mandatory requirement to ensure students are fit and ready for the upcoming academic year.

Please coordinate with the Health Services Unit for your schedule and bring the necessary requirements. Early compliance is encouraged to avoid delays in enrolment. Stay healthy and prepared!

☀️ Iwas Summer Diseases! 🌿💧

Mainit ang panahon, kaya mas dapat maging maingat sa ating kalusugan. Narito ang ilang simpleng paraan para makaiwas sa sakit ngayong tag-init:

✅ Uminom ng maraming tubig – iwas dehydration!
✅ Iwasan ang sobrang bilad sa araw (lalo na 10AM–4PM)
✅ Magsuot ng preskong damit at gumamit ng proteksyon sa araw (payong/sombrero)
✅ Panatilihing malinis ang pagkain at inumin
✅ Hugasan palagi ang kamay para iwas mikrobyo
✅ Kumain ng masustansyang pagkain para sa malakas na resistensya

💡 Tandaan: Mas mabuting mag-ingat kaysa magkasakit!

1. ☀️ Ngayong tag-init, pangalagaan ang kalusugan! Iwasan ang heat stroke, dehydration, at food-borne diseases. 💧
2. Kalusugan ang puhunan ngayong tag-init—uminom ng sapat na tubig, iwasan ang bilad sa araw, at panatilihing malinis ang pagkain. 🌡️
3. Sa bawat init ng panahon, doble ingat! Iwas sakit, ugaliing maghugas ng kamay at uminom ng malinis na tubig. 🧼
4. Maging alerto sa summer diseases: dehydration, diarrhea, at heat exhaustion. Protektahan ang sarili at pamilya! 🚫🤒

RABIES AWARENESS MONTH

‼️DOH: ‘WAG MAGING KAMPANTE SA PANGANIB NG RABIES‼️

Sa huling tala ng Department of Health mula January 4 hanggang February 21, 2026:
➥17 na ka*o ng rabies sa bansa;
➥65% na mas mababa kumpara sa 49 na ka*ong naitala sa parehong panahon noong 2025;
➥halos pantay ang ka*o mula sa alaga o domestic pets at galang hayop o stray animals; at
➥13 o 76% naman ng kabuuang ka*o ay mula sa hindi nabakunahang hayop

Ang rabies ay isang nakamamatay na sakit na dulot ng virus na naipapasa sa kagat, kalmot, o laway ng a*o, pusa, at iba pang hayop na may rabies.

Panawagan ng DOH sa publiko na:
✅Maging respawnsible pet owner to stay paw-tected at tiyaking bakunado ang mga alagang hayop;
✅Makipag-ugnayan sa inyong beterinaryo o lokal na pamahalaan para sa bakuna ng inyong alaga;
✅Kung sakaling makagat o makalmot, hugasan agad ang sugat gamit ang sabon at umaagos na tubig sa loob ng 15 minuto;
✅Agad na kumonsulta sa pinakamalapit na DOH-certified animal bite treatment center o animal bite center upang masuri kung kinakailangan ng bakuna laban sa rabies; at
✅Kumpletuhin ang doses ng bakuna sa tamang oras
