DOH: 'Wag matakot sa mga side effect ng bakuna. Ang mga ito ay normal lamang at madalang na mangyari.

Kung sakaling makaranas ng side effects, handa ang mga healthcare worker na tumugon sa mga ito.

Ang dapat ikatakot ay ang panganib ng Tigdas at Tigdas-hangin na maaaring humantong sa pagkaospital at kamatayan.

Pumunta sa pinakamalapit na health center o sumangguni sa nurse o midwife sa inyong barangay para sa pagbabakuna.

Nakakamatay ang leptospirosis. Kung ikaw ay lumusong sa baha nitong mga nakaraang araw, magpakonsulta agad sa pinakamalapit na health facility o YAKAP Clinic sa loob ng 24–48 oras upang mabigyan ng tamang reseta at gabay para sa doxycycline prophylaxis.

Maaaring irekomenda ang doxycycline prophylaxis sa mga lumusong sa baha, may sugat man o wala. Siguraduhing may reseta para sa tamang proteksyon.

Sundin lamang ang dosage at paraan ng pag-inom na inireseta o ipinayo ng doktor.

⚠️ Hindi inirerekomenda ang doxycycline prophylaxis para sa mga buntis, nagpapasuso, at mga batang edad 8 pababa.

| DOH urges parents to vaccinate children vs measles, rubella amid typhoon season

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union (PIA) — The Department of Health (DOH) Ilocos Center for Health Development is urging parents and caregivers to have children aged six to 59 months vaccinated against measles and rubella as the region intensifies its Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA).

The campaign is part of continuing efforts to protect young children from vaccine-preventable diseases and strengthen community protection, particularly during a period when typhoons and other weather disturbances can disrupt access to health services.

DOH Ilocos Regional Director Helen Tobias has been visiting vaccination sites across the region to monitor operations, support health workers, and identify challenges affecting the delivery of immunization services.

During the visits, Tobias emphasized the need to reach every eligible child while maintaining safe and quality vaccination practices.

“We need to give every child the protection they need to safeguard their health and future,” Tobias said.

Available po ang Doxycycline sa atin para sa mga pasyenteng maaaring mangailangan nito. Kailangan po munang magpakonsulta bago uminom ng antibiotics upang matukoy kung kinakailangan ito at mabigyan kayo ng tamang medical advice.
