𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐎𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐔𝐆𝐀𝐍 | 𝐁𝐑𝐆𝐘 𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐀𝐍 | 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The Rural Health Unit of Altavas successfully conducted PuroKalusugan today, September 3, 2026 at Ginictan, Altavas, Aklan.

Anchored on the Department of Health's thrust to bring healthcare closer to the people under the Universal Health Care Law, PuroKalusugan aims to deliver essential primary care services directly to the community — especially to families who have limited access to health facilities.

During the activity, the following services were provided:
✓ Free medical consultation and vital signs monitoring
✓ Blood pressure and blood sugar screening
✓ Health education and referral for further care

This initiative would not have been possible without the unwavering support and active collaboration of the Brgy. Ginictan Council headed by Hon. James Manuel, our Municipal Health Officer Dr. Lurence Anne Manejero, our dedicated Human Resources for Health (HRH), midwife, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), and all volunteers who worked tirelessly for the success of the program.

Our heartfelt gratitude to all residents of Brgy. Ginictan who participated. Together, let us continue to build a healthier, stronger, and more resilient Altavas — because in PuroKalusugan, health is truly felt in every purok!

The Provincial Health Office (PHO) - Aklan, in close coordination with the Altavas Rural Health Unit (RHU), Barangay Council of Linayasan, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), and dedicated volunteers, successfully conducted Rapid Convenience Monitoring (RCM) in Barangay Linayasan, Altavas, Aklan today, September 3, 2026.

This activity aims to:
- Validate the immunization coverage in the community
- Identify households with missed or defaulted children for routine immunization
- Ensure that every child is protected and no one is left behind
- Strengthen health information and delivery of primary health care services

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Brgy. Linayasan Council headed by Hon. Babysar Payba Sr., BHWs, BNS, and all volunteers for their unwavering support and active participation.

Maraming posibleng dahilan kung bakit maaaring magkaroon ng sintomas o kondisyon ang isang bata. Mahalagang masuri nang maayos ang mga naiulat na kondisyon upang malaman kung may kaugnayan nga ito sa bakuna at matukoy ang posibleng sanhi.

Magtanong at kumuha ng tamang impormasyon mula sa healthcare workers.

✅ Kung bukon gid it kinahang-ean mag-guwa, magpabilin sa sueod it baeay ag likawan ro exposure sa bukon it healthy nga hangin
✅ Mas vulnerable ag dapat gid magdahan ro mga inunga, senior citizens, nabdos, ag mga may respiratory conditions.

💚 Protektahan ro kaugalingon ag ro pamilya. Magpamati sa mga advisory ag bantayan ro kalidad it hangin sa aton nga lugar.

DOH: PROTEKTAHAN ANG SARILI MULA SA BANTA NG HAZE AT MARUMING HANGIN!

Ayon sa pinakahuling ulat mula sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB), kasalukuyang binabantayan ang kalagayan ng hangin dahil sa haze na nakakaapekto sa mga lugar sa National Capital Region (NCR), Central Luzon, CALABARZON, at MIMAROPA.

Ang observed haze ay posibleng sanhi ng usok at transboundary haze mula sa mga sunog sa Kalimantan, Indonesia na nadadala sa ating bansa dahil sa hanging habagat.

Paalala para sa mga pampublikong drayber, delivery riders, street vendors, at field workers na madalas nasa kalsada, sundin ang mga gabay at paalala mula sa DOH ngayong may haze. Tandaan, laging unahing protektahan ang iyong kalusugan!

As of August 28, 2026, Aklan has protected 27,334 children, reaching 51.8% of our goal to protect 52,845 eligible children through the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) 2026. 💉

👏 Congratulations to our municipalities for their dedicated efforts in protecting every Aklanon child! Every vaccination brings us one step closer to a measles- and rubella-free Aklan.

DOH: Nananatiling ligtas at epektibo ang mga bakuna na napatunayang nakapagliligtas ng buhay sa nakalipas na 50 taon

Marami na ang namatay dahil sa sakit na Tigdas at Tigdas-hangin. Walang namatay dahil sa bakuna.

Ang mga naiulat na pagkamatay kasunod ng pagbabakuna ay masusing iniimbestigahan at sinusuri. Batay sa isinagawang imbestigasyon, walang nakitang kaugnayan sa bakuna ang mga ka*ong ito.

Patuloy na mino-monitor at iniimbestigahan ang anumang naiuulat na Adverse Events Following Immunization upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng lahat.

We have successfully wrapped up another week of our Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA) here at RHU Altavas!

Our sincerest gratitude to all the parents who took the time to bring their children aged 6-59 months, to our hardworking BHWs, BNS, midwives, and nurses who conducted house-to-house visits and assisted at the center.

We would also like to extend our special thanks to Dr. Joanna Grace Rafael, our Doctor-to-the-Barrio, for joining us in our house-to-house visits and for her dedication in ensuring no child is left behind. Your presence and commitment truly inspired our team and the community.

Because of your cooperation and support, more children in Altavas are now given additional protection against measles and rubella. 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄, 𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄, and 𝐄𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 — we've proven once again that when we work together, we can achieve more!

The MRSIA is 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟒, so for those who haven't been vaccinated yet, our doors at the RHU and your barangay health center are still open.
