This appreciation post from my patient made me teary-eyed.🥹 Thank you for sharing your journey, maam Kaye. I’m grateful for the trust. 🙏
“My Myoma Journey — A Story of Faith, Hope, and the Right Doctor ❤️
Hello, I’m Kaye, 37 years old, single, and I’ve never had a baby yet—but I’ve always prayed and hoped to have one someday. ❤️
My myoma journey started in 2019, when I was told that I had very small myomas. At that time, I honestly didn’t feel like my case was being given much attention, so I kept going from one OB to another, hoping to find someone who would truly listen and care.
By mid-2024, I started experiencing hormonal imbalance and severe hormonal acne. I was prescribed pills, but eventually, my period became unusually heavy. There was even a month when I only had about 10 days without bleeding.
By the 4th quarter of 2025, I noticed that my tummy seemed bigger and uneven. Deep inside, I was scared. I prayed and asked God to lead me to a doctor who would genuinely care for me—not just treat me as another patient.
In early 2026, I still hadn’t found the right doctor. Then our medical insurance provider changed, so I had to wait for my new card. During that waiting period, I prayed even harder.
And then I met Dr. Myra Solas. ❤️
From the moment I met her, I felt something different. She was so kind, patient, and easy to talk to. You could genuinely feel her care and concern. I remember thinking, “Thank You, Jesus Christ. I feel like this is it.”
After a series of tests, we discovered that my myomas had grown significantly. One was already more than 10 cm, and the combined size of the three visible myomas was around 24 cm. I looked like I was about five months pregnant.
Because of their size and location, Dr. Myra explained that a hysterectomy was the recommended procedure for my case. As a 37-year-old woman who still dreams of having my own child, that news broke my heart.
I asked her if there was still any possibility of doing a myomectomy instead. She explained honestly that because of the size and location of my myomas, it would be very complicated and risky.
She suggested trying GnRH injections for three months first, hoping we could shrink the myomas even just a little. At first, I was hesitant because it was expensive—not only the injections but also the supplements and everything that came with it.
By July 2026, I had already decided to schedule my surgery. But Dr. Myra asked me again about trying GnRH. I could feel that she wasn’t simply trying to perform a procedure—she genuinely wanted to give me the best possible chance to preserve my uterus.
So I prayed again, surrendered it to God, and decided to go through the three months of GnRH treatment.
Thankfully, I tolerated it well. The main thing I experienced was hot flashes, and I could actually feel that my tummy had become smaller.
Then came September 26, 2026—the day of my surgery.
I was extremely nervous. I surrendered everything to God and signed the consent for an exploratory myomectomy with possible hysterectomy.
Before the surgery, Dr. Myra told me, “Gagawin ko ang lahat ng best ko para myomectomy lang, at hindi lalagpas sa pusod ang hiwa.”
Those words gave me hope.
While I was in the operating room, I heard them talking:
“Oh, naka-ilan na tayo?”
“12 po, Doc!”
I was shocked! 😭
Only three myomas were seen on the ultrasound, but when they opened me, they found 12 myomas inside.
And then came the news I had been praying for...
MYOMECTOMY LANG ANG GINAWA. ❤️😭
Not hysterectomy.
My uterus was preserved.
I still have a chance to have the child I’ve been praying for.
Thank You, Lord, talaga. 🙏🏻❤️
Looking back, I now understand why I had to go through all those doctors and all those waiting seasons. God was leading me to the right person at the right time.
To Doc Myra, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for your patience, compassion, honesty, and for never making me feel like giving up on my dream. More than being an excellent doctor, you made me feel that you truly cared about me and my future.
And to all the women who are going through something similar: please don’t lose hope. It may feel scary, especially when the diagnosis seems overwhelming, but keep praying, keep seeking the right care, and don’t be afraid to ask questions and advocate for yourself.
Sometimes, God answers our prayers by leading us to the right person. ❤️
Hindi pa huli ang lahat. With the right care, the right doctor, faith, and prayers, may hope. 🙏🏻❤️
Thank You, Jesus, for bringing me to Dr. Myra.
My journey is not over yet—but today, I am grateful, hopeful, and believing that the best is yet to come. ❤️
