Sarah and John ( not their real names) were 30 and 60 years old and have been married for a year when they first came to our clinic in March 2026.

John’s semen analysis showed asthenoteratos***mia ( normal count but low motility and morphology ) with prolonged liquifaction time ( very thick and viscous). He is also diabetic and on maintenance medications.

Sarah immediately underwent sonohysterography to check for patency of fallopian tubes and by April we performed IUI. And amazingly, they conceived on their very first try! Praise God! Sarah was endorsed to her OB of choice last month.

What can we learn from this?
Male age, diabetes and abnormal semen analysis do not mean that pregnancy is impossible ❤️

Because Sarah is young, with good egg quality, and by seeking help early, we were able to take advantage of this window of opportunity! To God be all the Glory !

Many couples, and even some healthcare providers, automatically think that a man with an abnormal semen analysis should first consult a urologist . No offense to our urology colleagues but I’m sure most of them Will totally agree that not every case of male Infertility needs a urologist as the first specialist.

Take this case of Carlos and Adele ( not their real names ) who sought consultation first with our own in-house urologist and male Infertility Specialist Dr. Marlon Martinez. They were then subsequently referred to us by Doc Marlon for further evaluation and Management of mild male factor infertility in October 2024.

After our thorough assessment ( which included checking for patency of fallopian tubes , ovarian reserve testing , s***m DNA fragmentation test and identification of possible risk factors) we decided to try IUI first in January 2025 which unfortunately failed. But upon trying again for a second time (after lifestyle modification) in April 2026 it was finally a success!

So what’s the lesson here?

Infertility should be managed by a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist regardless of whether the underlying cause is female, male or both. The REI is responsible for the comprehensive evaluation of both partners and determines when specialized urologist assessment is indicated. Referral to a urologist is appropriate when significant male factor Infertility , abnormal ge***al exam, obstructive pathology, or other conditions requiring surgical management are identified.

At the end of the day, Fertility care is a team effort. REIs, urologists, embryologists , Immunologists and other specialists all have important roles to play. The important key here is ensuring that the right specialist is involved at the right time.

When Sunshine 37, and Dante 48, first came to our clinic in June 2025, they have already been trying to conceive for 4 years.

Dante’s semen analysis showed oligoasthenoteratos***mia ( low count, motility and morphology) and elevated s***m DNA fragmentation index. He already had varicocele surgery in May 2024 and had successfully quit smoking. Age was the only remaining risk factor as well as his frequent exposure to high temperatures as a bakery owner.

Because Sunshine had patent fallopian tubes and adequate ovarian reserve, we recommended trying at least one cycle of IUI ( before we consider IVF) which happened in August. And Lo and behold! they conceived on their very first attempt! Praise God! She went on to have a smooth pregnancy and delivery by CS last April❤️ And here they are with precious baby Lian during their recent visit to our clinic.🥰( exactly one year from their first consultation🥰)

What’s the lesson here?

The goal of Infertility treatment is not simply to improve a laboratory result or to correct a particular diagnosis . The goal is to help a couple achieve a pregnancy in the most effective and appropriate way possible. Sometimes that means surgery, other times it means IUI, or IVF.

Indeed! The best outcomes come from evaluating both partners together and individualizing treatment based on their unique circumstances . All Glory to God!

When Roxanne 33, and Vlad 34 came to see us in April 2023, they had already been trying to conceive for 10 long years. They had travelled all the way from Tabuk City, Kalinga. Our evaluation showed several problems: left hydrosalpinx , endometrial polyp, diminished ovarian reserve. Based on these findings we recommended IVF to give them the best chances of success.

In June we harvested 10 eggs and froze 3 blastocysts. We then referred her to one of our trusted REIs close to Home, Dr. Joy Gregorio for laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. When they returned to our center in September we performed a Frozen Embryo Transfer in a natural cycle which led to a positive pregnancy test! Roxanne’s pregnancy went smoothly and delivered by CS in June 2025. Last month they visited us as a family of three in celebration of baby Amari’s first birthday❤️

Indeed! Modern IVF can be performed segmentally. Egg retrieval and embryo freezing in our center , followed by necessary surgery in your area of residence, and lastly, return to us for Frozen Embryo Transfer☺️

This approach minimizes travel, allows you to recover near your family, and you receive specialized care from doctors who work together as a team!

Congratulations Malaga family! Thank you for allowing us to be part of your remarkable journey!

When Michelle and John first came to see us in February 2022 , they were both 31 years of age and had been trying to conceive for 4 years.

After a thorough evaluation we realized that IVF was their only chance of having a baby. John had Azoos***mia ( Zero s***m in the ej*****te) while Michelle had adenomyosis with blocked fallopian tubes.

It took them more than two years to prepare but they returned in May 2024 ready to pursue their dream. John underwent microTESE care of our urologist Dr. Marlon Martinez , and together they proceeded with IVF ICSI and produced three beautiful blastocysts! One embryo was transferred in September and it implanted! Michi went on to have an uneventful pregnancy and delivery and this past June, they visited our clinic with precious baby Heaven in their arms❤️

So what’s the lesson here?
Infertility is not about age alone. Young couples can also face multiple , severe fertility problems that can make natural conception nearly impossible. The good news is that , thanks to IVF ICSI and microTESE , modern reproductive medicine can now overcome obstacles that once seem insurmountable!

Congratulations Michele and John! Thank you for allowing us to be part of your amazing ivf journey❤️ To God be all the Glory!

When Laurie and Jun first came to see us in March 2023 they were both 38 years old and had been married for 11 years.

Laurie was diagnosed with severe pelvic endometriosis , bilateral endometrial cysts and adenomyosis with a huge adenomyoma. She had already undergone multiple surgeries for her ovarian cysts ( which had already recurred) and an ectopic pregnancy.

Instead of rushing into IVF , we first focused on optimizing her chances through medical treatment and laparoscopy to improve access to her ovaries. In April 2024 we were finally able to perform an o**m pick up where we retrieved only 2 eggs which turned into 2 beautiful blastocysts!

After proper endometrial preparation we performed a frozen embryo transfer in December 2024 which led to a positive pregnancy test! However, It was not an easy pregnancy and delivery. Due to the complexity of her condition , She had to deliver by Cesarean hysterectomy😥 ( the uterus had to be removed after delivery of the baby).

This June 2026 when they visited with precious baby Liam in their arms, Laurie said “ Dra. “Sulit po lahat ng pinagdaanan namin” ❤️. Praise God! Indeed the greatest blessings are often born after the hardest battles! To God be all the Glory!

Jenica was 33 and Rudy was 37 and have been married for 11 years when they first came to our clinic in January 2024. They already knew that IVF was their only chance to conceive because Jenica had lost both fallopian tubes due to a right ectopic pregnancy in 2013 and another on the left in 2019.

After discussing the process , we performed egg retrieval in February , harvested 19 eggs and produced 4 blastocysts, one of which was transferred in June. Two weeks later, we had a positive pregnancy test and Today, here they are with precious baby Tania in their arms. Praise God!

If you’ve had an ectopic pregnancy or any form of tubal obstruction, IVF is the best and oftentimes only option for you. Seek a proper fertility evaluation. The sooner we identify the problem, the faster we can offer the treatment that gives you the best chance of success.

Congratulations Jenica and Rudy! And thank you for allowing us to be part of your amazing journey!

12 families came back to visit us this June❤️ Thanks to each one of you for taking the time to reconnect with us ❤️These simple reunions mean so much to us because they remind our team why we do what we do!

Liezl was 32 and Kier , 29 when they first came to us in October 2022 , after 10 years of trying to conceive. Liezl suffered an ectopic pregnancy in 2017. She had very irregular menstrual cycles, weighed 93 kg and had uncontrolled diabetes. But one thing she had going for her was that she was determined to change. She quit smoking and worked hard on her health. Together with her medical endocrinologist, she took control of her diabetes. When they returned in April 2024 she weighed 86 kg and was ready for IVF.

We harvested 16 eggs and produced 2 blastocysts, one of which was transferred in August and resulted in a positive pregnancy test! Pregnancy was not easy as she developed pregnancy induced hypertension but by God’s grace she carried the pregnancy to term. And here they are today holding precious baby Aya in their arms!

What’s the lesson here?
Infertility treatment is not only about technology, it is also about preparation. Improving overall health does not guarantee success, but it can dramatically improve the chances and make pregnancy safer for both mommy and baby.
