📍 Launching of the Newborn Screening Satellite Continuity Clinic
The NSC-CL proudly joined the official launch of the Newborn Screening Satellite Continuity Clinic at Luis Hora Memorial Regional Hospital. With their doors finally open, essential follow-up care is now more accessible for families across the region, making it easier to ensure every newborn receives the timely intervention and long-term support they need.

📍 Joint Monitoring and Evaluation
In partnership with the Department of Health – Center for Health Development Cordillera Administrative Region, the NSC-CL Program Team conducted a Joint Monitoring and Evaluation. This collaboration strengthened partnerships with Newborn Screening Facilities and promoted the continuous improvement of newborn screening services throughout the region.

The Newborn Screening Center - Central Luzon successfully conducted an orientation on Expanded Newborn Screening for level 2 nursing students at the Angeles University Foundation - College of Nursing on July 24, 2026. This initiative aims to strengthen the promotional efforts of newborn screening by educating future healthcare professionals about its importance and the program’s impact.

Together, we empower the next generation of nurses to safeguard newborn health from the start!

The Newborn Screening Center - Central Luzon would like to congratulate the following Newborn Screening Facilities from Region III for their excellent performance in the timely collection of NBS samples for the year 2025.

Certificates of Recognition will be sent out to award these NSFs for their efforts in helping us save more babies from mental retardation and death through the collection of NBS samples immediately after 24 hours from birth.

Certificates of Recognition are awarded to these NSFs for their efforts in helping us save more babies from mental retardation and death through the provision of quality newborn screening services.
