Ang rabies ay isang nakamamatay na sakit, pero maaaring maiwasan sa pamamagitan ng maagap na aksyon at tamang pagbabakuna.

โœ… Hugasan agad ang sugat gamit ang sabon at umaagos na tubig nang 15 minuto
โœ… Linisin gamit ang antiseptic o alcohol
โœ… Magpabakuna agad para makaiwas sa rabies
โŒ Huwag lagyan ng bawang, halaman, langis, o anumang โ€œgamotโ€ sa bahay
โŒ Huwag ipagpabukas ang pagpapatingin sa doktor

Rabies is a serious and potentially fatal disease, but early action can save a life. Watch out for symptoms such as fever, headache, fatigue, tingling at the bite site, excessive salivation, hallucinations, hydrophobia, aggression, and difficulty sleeping.

If youโ€™ve been bitten or scratched by a dog, cat, or other animal, donโ€™t wait for symptoms to appear. Wash the wound thoroughly with soap and running water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention immediately for proper wound care and anti-rabies vaccination.
