Today, we are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, classmates, teachers, and the entire school community affected by this heartbreaking loss.

During difficult times such as these, we are reminded of the importance of looking after one another with compassion, understanding, and care. Many young people silently carry burdens that may not always be visible to others. A simple act of kindness, a listening ear, or a supportive conversation can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

As we mourn this tragedy, let us continue to foster a school environment where every student feels safe, valued, respected, and supported. Let us encourage open communication and create spaces where individuals feel comfortable seeking help when faced with personal, emotional, academic, or social challenges.

Last April 29, 2026, the Guidance and Counseling Office successfully conducted the 3rd Year Career Webinar entitled “Dream, Plan, Achieve: Your Career Advancement and Career Readiness Workshop” via Zoom. This meaningful event aimed to help 3rd year students strengthen their career direction by developing practical plans, setting achievable goals, and preparing for the realities of the professional world.

The webinar featured our esteemed resource speaker, Mr. Kim Chua, who shared valuable insights on career planning, professional growth, and the importance of intentional goal-setting in achieving long-term success. Through his discussion, students were encouraged to transform their ambitions into actionable steps and build a strong foundation for their future careers.

Throughout the session, students gained practical knowledge on setting clear career goals, creating realistic plans, and developing the mindset and essential skills needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive and evolving workplace. The webinar emphasized that career success is built through preparation, persistence, and continuous self-improvement.

This initiative provided a supportive and empowering platform for students to reflect on their aspirations, identify opportunities for growth, and become more confident in navigating their career journey. Anchored in personal development and career readiness, the workshop inspired students to take ownership of their future and pursue their goals with clarity and purpose.
