🛡️ Iwas-Dengue: Gabay para sa Ligtas na Pamilya at Pamayanan
🌡️

Sa gitna ng pabago-bagong panahon sa Pilipinas—mula sa nakatitirik na araw hanggang sa biglaang pagbuhos ng ulan—isang banta ang laging nag-aabang sa ating mga bakuran: ang Dengue. ⛈️

🚫 Hindi lang ito simpleng lagnat; ito ay isang mosquito-borne viral disease na seryoso at kung minsan ay nakamamatay. ⚠️ Pero huwag mag-alala dahil ang pag-iwas ay laging nagsisimula sa tamang impormasyon at paghahanda. 💡

🦟 Ano nga ba ang Dengue?
🦠 Ang Dengue ay sanhi ng virus na naililipat sa tao sa pamamagitan ng kagat ng mga babaeng lamok, partikular na ang Aedes aegypti. 🏠 Ang mga lamok na ito ay karaniwang nangingitlog sa mga stagnant o nakaimbak na tubig sa loob at paligid ng ating bahay. 💧

🚩 Mga Senyales na Dapat Bantayan
🧐 Huwag balewalain ang mga sumusunod na sintomas, lalo na kung may "outbreak" sa inyong lugar:

🔥 Mataas na lagnat na tumatagal ng 2 hanggang 7 araw.

🤯 Matinding sakit ng ulo pati na rin ang pananakit sa likod ng mga mata.

🤢 Pagsusuka at biglaang kawalan ng gana sa pagkain.

💪 Pananakit ng mga kasukasuan at kalamnan na tila mababali ang mga buto.

🔴 Rashes o paglitaw ng mga maliliit at pulang tuldok sa balat.

🚨 Babala: Kung makaranas ng pagdurugo ng ilong o gilagid, o kaya ay itim na dumi, dalhin agad ang pasyente sa pinakamalapit na ospital. 🏥 Ito ay maaaring senyales na ng mas malalang kondisyon. 🚑

📑 Ang 4S Strategy ng DOH
🛡️ Para manatiling ligtas ang iyong buong pamilya, laging tandaan ang 4S na kampanya ng Department of Health:

🔍 Search and Destroy: Hanapin at sirain ang lahat ng lugar na pwedeng pangitlugan ng mga lamok. 🏺 Tiyaking walang tubig sa mga plorera, lumang gulong, lata, at mga bukas na drum. 🗑️

👕 Self-Protection Measures: Hangga't maaari ay magsuot ng mahabang manggas at pantalon sa labas. 🧴 Gumamit din ng insect repellent lalo na sa umaga at hapon kung kailan pinaka-aktibo ang mga lamok. 🦟

👨‍⚕️ Seek Early Consultation: Huwag mag-atubiling magpatingin sa doktor kung ang lagnat ng bata o matanda ay lumampas na ng dalawang araw. 🩺

💨 Say No to Indiscriminate Fogging: Tandaan na ang pag-uusok o fogging ay ginagawa lamang kapag may banta na ng matinding epidemya sa isang lugar. 🏘️

🤝 Laging Tandaan
🧹 Ang kalinisan ng ating kapaligiran ang ating pangunahing sandata laban sa sakit. 🏡 Hindi sapat na malinis ang loob ng bahay; dapat ay magtulungan ang buong barangay upang masigurong walang "breeding sites" ang mga lamok sa ating paligid. 🌳

The 2026 Universal Health Care (UHC) Implementation Monitoring conducted on June 17, 2026, by the Department of Health–Cagayan Valley Center for Health Development (DOH-CVCHD) UHC Monitoring Team provided valuable insights into the current status of UHC implementation at Aparri Provincial Hospital. The monitoring activity identified several findings and recommendations requiring updates to ensure alignment with existing policies, standards, and operational guidelines. Likewise, noteworthy best practices and successful interventions were recognized and recommended for sustained implementation, while certain areas were identified for further strengthening to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and the quality of health service delivery.

The monitoring process served not only as an assessment mechanism but also as a platform for technical assistance, knowledge sharing, and continuous quality improvement. Through constructive feedback, collaborative discussions, and the exchange of best practices, the implementing teams were able to identify strategies to address existing gaps and further improve program performance. The recommendations provided by the monitoring team will serve as a guide for future actions and interventions toward achieving the objectives of Universal Health Care and ensuring equitable, accessible, and quality health services for all.

Despite the identified opportunities for improvement, the overall findings of the monitoring activity were highly commendable. The monitoring team recognized the dedication, commitment, and collaborative efforts of Aparri Provincial Hospital and its personnel in advancing the implementation of Universal Health Care. Significant progress was observed across various program components, reflecting strong leadership, effective coordination, and a steadfast commitment to improving health outcomes and patient-centered care.

The positive assessment underscores Aparri Provincial Hospital's readiness and capability to continuously enhance its systems, processes, and service delivery mechanisms. It further highlights the institution's commitment to sustaining gains, addressing identified gaps, and pursuing excellence in health care delivery in support of the Universal Health Care agenda. Through continuous improvement initiatives and collaboration, the hospital remains dedicated to providing accessible, responsive, and high-quality health services to the communities it serves.

A Proud Milestone for Aparri Provincial Hospital!

We are honored to be recognized as a Certified Mother-Baby Friendly Workplace and to receive a Memorandum of Commitment for the Mother-Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (MBFHI), valid for one year, following the successful two-day assessment and evaluation conducted by the Department of Health Region 2 MBFHI Assessment Team.

This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to promoting, protecting, and supporting breastfeeding, maternal and newborn health, and family-centered care. It stands as a testament to the dedication, teamwork, and collective efforts of our healthcare workforce in creating a nurturing and supportive environment where mothers and babies receive the highest quality of care.

We would like to give special recognition to the efforts and leadership of our MBFHI Team, headed by our Chief of Hospital, Dr. Diana Rhea V. Garde, whose vision and steadfast support have been instrumental in advancing our Mother-Baby Friendly initiatives.
