Some vaccines are given before exposure, known as Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), while others are given after exposure, known as Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP). Both play an important role in protecting individuals against rabies.
Another form of anti-rabies protection is the booster shot. It is recommended for individuals who have previously completed their anti-rabies vaccination series and experience a new bite or scratch exposure.
At Rabies Buster Animal Bite Center, our DOH-trained healthcare professionals assess your risk and recommend the most appropriate protection for you.
If you've been bitten or scratched, visit us now! Remember that the right vaccine at the right time can save lives.
