Sleep is brain medicine.

Sleep isn’t just rest—it’s active repair. While you sleep, the brain clears waste, stabilizes blood pressure, consolidates memory, and regulates pain pathways. When sleep is poor or irregular, headaches, dizziness, mood changes, and cognitive fog often follow.

It’s not only about hours slept, but how restorative your sleep is. Monitoring sleep patterns—such as sleep duration, consistency, and depth—can be helpful in understanding whether your brain is truly recovering each night.

If you’re waking up unrefreshed, relying on caffeine, or noticing worsening neurologic symptoms, it may be time to look more closely at sleep as part of your overall brain health.

Protect your brain—start with sleep. 🧠🌙

The holiday season quietly stacks common headache triggers: busy schedules, stress, skipped meals, dehydration, sweets, salty food, alcohol, and lack of sleep. Viral illnesses after travel or gatherings can also lead to lingering headaches.

The good news? Many holiday headaches are manageable with simple, consistent habits:
✔ prioritize sleep
✔ hydrate and eat regular meals
✔ manage stress realistically
✔ take only prescribed medications and avoid self-medicating

However, some headaches should never be ignored. Sudden, severe pain or headaches with neurologic symptoms need urgent medical attention.

Your holidays should be joyful—not painful.
If headaches are frequent, worsening, or concerning, a proper evaluation can help identify the cause and guide safe treatment.

Take care of your brain this season. 🧠✨
