Healthcare may be changing with technology, but one thing remains: patients still need kindness, understanding, and true human connection.

Yesterday’s report on Telemedicine with Empathy reminded us that even in virtual consultations, compassion can still be felt through the way we listen, speak, and care for our patients. It highlighted how empathy continues to play an important role in building trust, improving communication, and making healthcare more patient-centered, even beyond the clinic.

As doctors, we continue learning that good medicine is not only about treatment, but also about making people feel heard and cared for wherever they are.

The Philippine Academy of Family Physicians, Inc. - Negros Occidental Chapter held its Induction Ceremony last May 11, 2026, at Sugarland Hotel.

The event brought together family physicians, colleagues, and healthcare partners for an evening of fellowship, collaboration, and shared commitment to the practice of family medicine. It was a meaningful opportunity to welcome the newly inducted officers and members while recognizing the continued work of strengthening patient-centered and community-based care.
