π 48th National Disability Rights Weekπ
July 17-23, 2026
"This week is a time to celebrate the rights and contributions of persons with disabilities, promote inclusion, and build a society where everyone is respected, valued, and given equal opportunities."
At Riverside College, we believe that every student deserves to learn, grow, and thrive in an environment where they are respected, valued, and included. We are committed to promoting empathy, accessibility, and equal opportunities because we recognize that an inclusive community empowers every individual to reach their full potential.
Disability inclusion begins with empathy. By listening, learning, using respectful language, creating accessible spaces, and standing as allies, we help build a campus where everyone feels a sense of belonging. Every person's abilities, talents, and contributions matter, and together we can break barriers and celebrate diversity.
"Disability is a matter of perception. If you can do just one thing well, you're needed by someone."
β Martina Navratilova
As we celebrate the 48th National Disability Rights Week, let us continue to promote understanding, challenge stereotypes, and advocate for a future where inclusion is not just an aspirationβbut a daily practice.
Together, we create a more inclusive world. πβΏπ
