On August 28, 2026, the Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital (STRH) – Department of Surgery successfully welcomed the PSGS Committee on Accreditation for its accreditation visit.

The activity was supported by the Department Chairman, Dr. Eliseo B. “LJ” Sabal, Jr., Training Officer Dr. Karen Latorre, the Surgery Consultants, and the Training Core composed of Dr. Bob Balmores, Dr. Gerlie Hernandez-Roa, Dr. Hazel Mendoza, Dr. Allen Sese, Dr. Patrick Edward De Guzman, and Dr. Paul Ivin A. Jayme.

Appreciation is also extended to the STRH Medical Center Chief II, Dr. Ruby Ephraim M. Rubiano, Chief of Medical Professioanl Staff II, Dr. Rebecca Ann V. Gabor, and the various ancillary units for their continued support of the Department’s training initiatives.

Recognition is extended to our Surgery Residents — Dr. Telly Camerino, Dr. Caressa Castro, Dr. John Nico B. Ronquillo, Dr. Greggy Villar, Dr. Patrick Baylon, and Dr. Trisha Albesa — for their hard work, teamwork, and dedication throughout the accreditation preparations.

Matagumpay na naisagawa ng Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital (STRH) ang Measles–Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) 2026 noong August 24, 26 & 28, 2026.

Sa bawat batang nabakunahan, isang dagdag na proteksyon ang naibigay laban sa **Tigdas at Rubella**—mga sakit na maaaring maiwasan sa pamamagitan ng pagbabakuna.

Bakit mahalaga ang pagbabakuna? Ang bakuna ay isa sa pinakamabisang paraan upang maprotektahan ang mga bata laban sa mga sakit na maaaring magdulot ng malubhang komplikasyon. Higit pa sa proteksyon ng isang bata, nakakatulong din ito upang mabawasan ang pagkalat ng sakit sa pamilya at komunidad.

Narito ang ilang highlights ng ating MR-SIA 2026—mga larawan ng ating mga batang nabakunahan at ng mga healthcare workers na sama-samang nagsikap para sa isang mas ligtas at mas protektadong komunidad.

Maraming salamat sa lahat ng magulang at guardians na naglaan ng oras upang dalhin ang kanilang mga anak, at sa ating mga doktor, nurses, vaccinators, staff, at volunteers na naging bahagi ng matagumpay na aktibidad na ito.

Para sa mga magulang: Huwag ipagpaliban ang pagbabakuna ng inyong mga anak. Ang bawat bakuna ay dagdag na proteksyon, at ang bawat protektadong bata ay hakbang tungo sa mas ligtas na pamilya at komunidad.

Kung hindi nakapagpabakuna ang inyong anak sa MR-SIA, maaari kayong makipag-ugnayan sa inyong Barangay Health Center o Local Health Office upang malaman ang available na routine vaccination services at iba pang angkop na bakuna para sa inyong anak.

Bakuna ngayon, proteksyon para sa kinabukasan. Bakunado ang bata. Protektado ang pamilya. Ligtas ang komunidad. Sama-sama nating gawing mas ligtas ang bawat bata laban sa Tigdas at Rubella!
