Our playgroup recently had a real-world learning experience around the neighborhood where they brought our “Community Helpers” lesson to life. ✨🩺 We went on a mini field trip to explore the laundromat, the barber, the doctor, and the grocery mart. Going beyond the classroom walls isn’t just a fun activity, it is also a vital part of learning where we learn crucial language, social, and life skills. As the “Ber” months hit, here’s a from last year’s Christmas Party! 🎄 Looking back at these smiles reminds us that Christmas isn’t just a day on the calendar for our center. Even though the month of August brought lots of rainy days, our Playgroup and Non-graded SPED learners proved that learning happens come rain or shine!🌦️ We kept our spirits high, our hands busy, and our bodies moving through celebrating our monthly theme, learning about shapes and patterns, studying the parts of the house, and getting to know our feelings and emotions. Our troopers made the absolute best out of every single day! 💛

Every movement is a step towards greater independence. 🛝 Watching our kids build strength through our gross motor activities while sharing smiles and support with one another reminds us of the true power of community! They may not always stick the landing on the wall climb, and the rocking horse might feel shaky at first, but the determination, resilience, and joy shared between friends make every step worthwhile. It is important to remember that our journey isn’t about perfecting each climb, swing, or catch. Rather, it is about the courage to try. 🤍

Our playgroup celebrated peer connection by crafting friendship bracelets and getting our hands wet with paint!👯 By making something for each other, we create opportunities to practice sharing, turn-taking, learn about the joy of gifting, and empathy. We are so incredibly proud of the beautiful bonds and milestones our kiddos achieve together every single week.🤍
