DISEASE SURVEILLANCE RESPONSE 🤝 👥

The City Government of Bago, through Bago City PCF’s City Epidemiological Surveillance Unit – Community-Based Disease Surveillance System (CESU-CDSS), responded to a suspected foodborne illness in Barangay Maao.

Actions included case investigation, case verification, active case finding, water sampling, environmental scanning, and coordination with barangay officials among others.

Affected individuals were provided ORS, medicines, hygiene kits, Aquatabs, and water containers, along with health education on safe food handling, hygiene, and safe drinking water practices.

The response aimed to prevent further cases and ensure timely public health action.
