Knowledge is the best tool in patient care! 😁 The nurses of Notre Dame de Chartres Hospital gathered for a lecture on Dysphagia Management and Early Mobilization as part of their Stroke Training Program.

A heartfelt thank you to our Physical and Occupational Therapists, Sir Jonathan Elago and Ma'am Amy Walsiyen, for sharing their expertise and knowledge in delivering multidisciplinary care for stroke patients.

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation celebrated Christmas through Year-End Recognition and Strategic Planning last December 03, 2025! 🎊🎉🥳

Despite the physical, mental and emotional demands required of our department, celebrating Christmas together as a team is an opportunity to temporarily rest from professional duties and responsibilities, to enjoy each others’ company, to discover one another’s quirks and to experience the joy of being a kid once again! 😁

Special thanks to the Christmas 2025 committee and for the suppliers who helped this event become successful and meaningful!

𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞

Last October 21-23, 2025, our rehabilitation team gathered for a meaningful three-day training focused on prioritized health programs under the Purokalusagan Orientation for HRH-Physical Therapists.

Spearheaded by Dr. Mildred Wansi-Guimpayan, this collaborative seminar brought together our dedicated physical therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation nurses in a dynamic exchange of expertise. The sessions covered essential program updates, evidence-based techniques, and innovative approaches that are shaping the future of rehabilitation care.

Beyond the knowledge shared, this orientation strengthened the bonds within our multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and mutual support. When healthcare professionals invest time in educating one another, the real winners are the patients whose lives we touch every day.

Our little trick-or-treaters came dressed to impress in their amazing costumes, bringing Halloween magic throughout the wards. Special treats were distributed to our patients, with smiles all around thanks to our wonderful staff who made it all possible.

To every participant who joined us - you brought the theme “Innovation for Inclusion: Building Inclusive Communities Together” to life through your presence and stories. You showed us that true innovation happens when we embrace our diverse abilities and unite our strengths.

To our exceptional speakers, your willingness to open your hearts and share your deepest insights created ripples of understanding that will extend far beyond this week. You transformed complex concepts into relatable truths, showing us that inclusion isn’t just policy or practice - it’s humanity at its finest.

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Team observed meaningful progress: challenges converted into opportunities, diverse perspectives strengthening our collective approach, and individual experiences forming a unified community. This exemplifies true inclusion; people of all abilities collaborating to create environments where everyone participates meaningfully and thrives.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The kids explored, cooked, and laughed together, turning ordinary activities into special memories. Every smile and small achievement reminds us how meaningful these moments are. It’s amazing to see how each little moment helps them grow and believe in themselves.

🧸 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫-𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 - Wheelchairs were provided to children and adults with spinal cord injury and cerebral palsy diagnoses.
🎁 𝐆𝐢𝐟𝐭-𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 - Special tokens and gifts brought joy to our patients and their families.
🎅𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 (Games and Intermission) - Games were played by parents and special children, spreading laughter and cheers. Special mention to ma'am April, sir Adrian, ma'am Arceli and ma'am Sheryl for being the game-masters of the said activity; also a huge thank you for the students of Balai ni Sofia who gave a singing and instrumental intermissions.
🔔 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 - A delicious meal was sponsored by Hill's Diner, Le Monet Hotel and 99 Silog Meals to close our celebration on a warm and fulfilling note.

Again, thank you for making this event a success and bringing smiles to many faces. Together, we've made this Christmas brighter for those who need it most.
