Maaaring magdulot ang haze ng hirap sa paghinga, pag-ubo, pananakit ng dibdib, pangangati o pagluluha ng mga mata, at paglala ng mga sakit sa baga tulad ng hika. Dobleng pag-iingat ang kailangan para sa mga bata, matatanda, at mga may dati nang sakit sa baga o puso.

💊 Forgot to Take Your Birth Control Pill? Here's What to Do!

Missing a birth control pill doesn't always mean you'll get pregnant—but it's important to act quickly. The correct steps depend on the type of pill you're taking.

✅ If you're taking a COMBINED ORAL CONTRACEPTIVE (estrogen + progestin):

🔹 1 pill missed (less than 48 hours late):
• Take the missed pill as soon as you remember.
• Take your next pill at the usual time (you may take 2 pills in one day).
• No backup contraception is usually needed.

🔹 2 or more pills missed (48 hours or more):
• Take the most recent missed pill as soon as possible.
• Discard any earlier missed pills.
• Continue taking the remaining pills as scheduled.
• Use condoms or avoid s*x for the next 7 days.
• If the missed pills were during the last week of active pills, skip the placebo pills and start a new pack immediately.
• Consider emergency contraception if pills were missed during the first week and you had unprotected s*x within the last 5 days.

✅ If you're taking a PROGESTIN-ONLY PILL (Mini Pill):
• If you're more than 3 hours late (or more than 24 hours late for drospirenone-only pills), take the pill as soon as you remember.
• Continue taking the remaining pills at your usual time.
• Use a backup method (such as condoms) for the next 2 days (or 7 days for drospirenone-only pills, depending on the product).

⚠️ Never stop taking your pills unless advised by your healthcare provider.

Carbocisteine vs Ambroxol: Which Mucolytic Is Right for Your Cough?

Both Carbocisteine and Ambroxol are used to help clear mucus from the respiratory tract, but they work differently.

When to Choose Carbocisteine

✅ Chronic bronchitis
✅ COPD with excessive mucus production
✅ Long-term management of thick, sticky sputum

When to Choose Ambroxol

✅ Acute cough with phlegm
✅ Upper and lower respiratory tract infections
✅ Need for faster mucus clearance

Can They Be Taken Together?

Generally, combining two mucolytics is not routinely recommended because they provide similar therapeutic effects. Most patients will benefit from one appropriately chosen mucolytic plus adequate hydration. Combination therapy should only be used if specifically recommended by a physician.

Key Point for Patients
Carbocisteine = "changes the mucus structure" to make it less thick.
Ambroxol = "thins and mobilizes mucus" to help you cough it out more easily.

Which is better?
There is no universal "better" option. For chronic mucus problems, carbocisteine is often preferred. For acute respiratory infections with phlegm, ambroxol is commonly used because of its faster mucus-clearing action.

Ngunit, kung ang gamot ay hindi peke o expired, maaaring tumanggi ang tindahan sa replace o refund at good will na ng tindahan kung sila ay papayag.

Kaya bago bumili:
• Siguraduhing tama ang produktong kukunin.
• I-check ang expiration date.
• Itanong ang return or exchange policy ng tindahan.
