Please be informed that the Municipal Health Office and Birthing Clinic – Bangar will be open this coming weekend to accommodate walk-in appointments for essential childhood health services.

Clinic Schedule:
Dates: August 15 and 16, 2026 (Saturday and Sunday)
Hours: 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Services Offered:
Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) vaccinations
Vitamin A supplementation

Important Reminders for Parents and Guardians:
This weekend drive is open specifically to cater to walk-in individuals. No prior scheduling is required.Please bring your child’s vaccination card or any existing immunization records, if available.

Bangar, La Union — Municipal Health Office and Birthing Clinic released the latest quick count accomplishments for the ongoing Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR SIA) and Vitamin A Supplementation campaign, highlighting initial coverage across priority barangays.

We have successfully reached 13 out of 33 barangays in the municipality.

Children Vaccinated to Date: 539
Current Coverage Rate: 20.32%

💊 Vitamin A Supplementation

Call to Action for Parents and Guardians

We urge parents and caregivers with children aged 6 to 59 months to participate in the ongoing drive to protect infants and young children against preventable, high-risk diseases.

Vaccinations and Vitamin A capsules are available free of charge at the Municipal Health Office, barangay health stations, and designated fixed vaccination posts. Residents are encouraged to consult their respective Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) for upcoming schedules in their areas.

POSTPONEMENT OF TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF SERVICES

Please be advised that the previously scheduled Temporary Suspension of 24/7 Birthing Clinic Services and Outpatient Medical Consultations (originally set for August 9–14, 2026) has been POSTPONED due to prevailing inclement weather and will be moved to a later date.

Regular Operations: All birthing clinic and outpatient services will continue as normal until further notice.

Rescheduled Date: The updated schedule for the staff training and temporary service suspension will be announced in a separate advisory.

However, due to continuous heavy rainfall brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), temporary localized schedule adjustments and relocations may occur to ensure public safety.
