Tanay Mountaineers (TM) in partnership with the 2nd Infantry Division of the Philippine Army will be hosting the 1st Mountain Search and Rescue (MOSAR) Challenge 2026 as one of its flagship activities in celebration of the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) 2026.
This landmark initiative is made possible through the invaluable partnership and unwavering support of the Philippine Red Cross, 2nd Civil-Military Operations (CMO) Battalion, Philippine Army, 5th Field Artillery Battalion, Philippine Army, Disaster Response International (DERIN) and Leaders League Training and Adventures, Inc. Together, we share one vision—to strengthen disaster preparedness, enhance search and rescue capabilities, and cultivate a culture of volunteerism and resilience among communities and emergency responders.
More than a competition, the MOSAR Challenge is a platform for strengthening the skills, discipline, and readiness of volunteer rescuers, DRRM practitioners, and emergency responders. Through realistic rescue scenarios and practical field exercises, this initiative reinforces the belief that preparedness saves lives, teamwork overcomes adversity, and resilience is built through continuous training.
