Ang Philippine Red Cross ay HINDI Ahensya ng Gobyerno, kaya hindi ito pinopondohan ng GOBYERNO, ito ay umaasa sa DONASYON na ORAS, PERA, DUGO para maisagawa ang serbisyo nito.
LIBRE ANG DONATED NA DUGO.
Ngunit merong mga kaukulang halaga ang pag proproseso ng dugo:
β’ COLLECTION = Donor Recruitment, Education & Screening; Transportation Expense; (i.e. fuel during blood donation activities), Medical Technologist; Phlebotomist and other support staff and personnel.
β’ SUPPLIES & MATERIALS = blood bags, labels, blood typing sera, copper sulfate, donor screening forms and other office supplies.
β’ LABORATORY TESTING/ SCREENING FOR HIV, HEPATITIS B, HEPATITIS C, SYPHILIS & MALARIA = Reagents; Machines & Equipment, Medtech, Personnel & support staff, shipment cost.
β’ COMPONENT PREPARATION , HANDLING & STORAGE = Machines & Equipment, Blood Refrigerators and Utilities (water, electrity, telephone, internet)
β’ QUALITY ASSURANCE
β’ THERE ARE ALSO COSTS IN DISPOSING WASTES
These are the costs that needs to be recovered and is in accordance with DOH Rules and Regulation (DOH Admin Order 181 S. 2002 & PRC Admin Memo no. 32, S. 2015)
