Together with 𝗗𝗿. 𝗧𝗮𝗷𝗲𝗲 𝗔. 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮, our 𝗢𝗧 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀, and the 𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 – 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 and 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆, the 𝘖𝘤𝘤𝘶𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘺 𝘊𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘭𝘦 had the privilege of visiting the 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 – 𝗟𝗼𝘀 𝗕𝗮ñ𝗼𝘀. 🏡 Through firsthand observation of 𝙚𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨, we were reminded that 𝘰𝘤𝘤𝘶𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘺 goes far beyond activities and assessments. It is about 𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈, and recognizing that every child experiences the world in their own unique way. 🌱
More than a learning experience, this visit deepened our understanding of the lived experiences of children with autism and their families. ⭐️ It strengthened our appreciation for the therapists, educators, families, and organizations who help children participate, grow, and thrive every day. 🤲🏻♾️ As future 𝑶𝒄𝒄𝒖𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒔, we left carrying more than knowledge—we left with a deeper sense of purpose and a greater responsibility to advocate for 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, and 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, so every individual has the opportunity to live with purpose, dignity, and possibility. 🩺🌍
