Last Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (May 19, 20, and 22, 2026), the Experimental Psychology students of Dr. Carmen Yupangco underwent one of the most rigorous stages of their academic journey the Research Defense utilizing the Experimental Method.

Paneled by the faculty members of the Department of Psychology, the students experienced intensive scrutiny, critical questioning, and thorough evaluation of their methodologies, ethical considerations, variables, and scientific reasoning. Far beyond compliance, the defense served as a training ground for resilience, precision, and scholarly discipline.

Every challenge raised by the panel was not meant to break confidence, but to sharpen competence. Through this process, the students learned that research is not merely about producing findings, but about defending ideas with evidence, logic, and scientific integrity.
May this experience continue to forge stronger researchers, future psychologists, and professionals capable of contributing meaningful and evidence-based knowledge to the field of psychology.
