Yup, you read that right, mga beshie! There’s now a new term being used for PCOS: PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome). ✨

Why the change? Dahil madalas na nare-reduce ang condition na ito sa misconception na may “cysts” ang ovaries, when in reality, what’s seen in the ovaries are not true cysts, and the condition is much more complex.

PMOS is a long-term hormonal and metabolic disorder that may affect weight, skin, metabolism, mental health, and the reproductive system. Kaya mas inclusive at mas accurate ang bagong term na PMOS sa totoong pinagdadaanan ng mga may condition na ito.

This is a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the signs and symptoms of this serious pregnancy complication to improve early detection and save lives, not only for you but also your little one.
