As part of its commitment to continuous professional development and quality patient care, the Nursing Service Department of Cebu Provincial Hospital – Bogo City conducted a lecture and refresher session on Hypertension.

The activity provided nurses and healthcare personnel with updated knowledge on the prevention, assessment, monitoring, and management of hypertension, one of the most common health conditions affecting Filipinos today. The session also emphasized the importance of early detection, proper patient education, medication compliance, and lifestyle modifications in reducing complications associated with high blood pressure.

Through continuing education and skills enhancement activities such as this, the Nursing Service Department ensures that healthcare professionals remain equipped with current evidence-based practices that contribute to improved patient outcomes and safer healthcare delivery.

Cebu Provincial Hospital – Bogo City successfully conducted a Delivery Room Audit and Obstetrics Morbidity and Mortality (M&M) Conference as part of its continuing commitment to maternal and newborn health, patient safety, and quality healthcare service.

The conference focused on Hypertension in Pregnancy, a significant maternal health concern that requires early detection, close monitoring, and timely intervention to ensure the safety of both mother and child.

Through case reviews, clinical discussions, and outcome evaluations, healthcare professionals from the Delivery Room and Obstetrics Department were able to assess current practices, identify areas for improvement, and reinforce evidence-based management strategies for hypertensive disorders during pregnancy.

The activity also provided an opportunity for healthcare teams to strengthen collaboration, enhance clinical decision-making, and promote continuous learning in the delivery of maternal healthcare services.
