𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧, 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 | 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 — Demonstrating the power of unity and volunteerism, Barangays Caatihan and Simulao successfully conducted a Joint Mobile Blood Donation Drive today in Barangay Caatihan, bringing together generous volunteer blood donors in a shared commitment to saving lives through voluntary blood donation.

The activity was spearheaded by the Barangay Local Government Unit of Caatihan in partnership with the Barangay Local Government Unit of Simulao, with blood collection services provided by the Philippine Red Cross–Mati Chapter. The initiative aimed to help ensure an adequate and safe blood supply for patients in need while fostering a culture of compassion, civic responsibility, and community solidarity.

The activity was graced by the presence of 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗗. 𝗧𝘂𝗽𝗮𝘀, whose steadfast support continues to strengthen the municipality's public health initiatives and advocacy for voluntary blood donation. Also present was Sangguniang Bayan Committee Chair on Health and Sanitation, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗥. 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗻, who expressed his support for programs that promote community health, strengthen local healthcare services, and encourage residents to become regular voluntary blood donors.

The Municipal Health Office extends its sincere appreciation to 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗟. 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰 of Barangay Caatihan and 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗱𝗮 𝗖. Their commitment, together with the invaluable efforts of the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀–𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗶 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿, volunteer blood donors, barangay officials, health workers, and partner agencies, reflects the spirit of bayanihan in advancing the health and well-being of the community.

Every unit of blood collected represents hope for patients requiring emergency treatment, life-saving surgeries, maternal care, and other critical medical interventions. Through continued collaboration among the Local Government Unit, the Municipal Health Office, the Philippine Red Cross–Mati Chapter, and the people of Boston, the municipality remains committed to promoting voluntary blood donation as a lifesaving act of compassion. Indeed, every drop donated today is a gift of life that will make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

𝐁𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐍, 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 – The Municipal Health Office (MHO) of Boston successfully concluded the 𝐓𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 in all eight barangays of the municipality on July 27–28, 2026, as part of its continuing commitment to strengthening adolescent health and development programs.

The two-day validation covered the barangays of Cabasagan, Caatihan, Carmen, Cauwayanan, Poblacion, San Jose, Sibajay, and Simulao, assessing the functionality, accessibility, and readiness of each Teen Center to provide adolescent-friendly health services. The activity evaluated the centers based on established standards, including facility management, availability of information, education and communication (IEC) materials, youth participation, health service delivery, referral mechanisms, and documentation. The validation also served as an opportunity to recognize best practices, identify areas for improvement, and provide technical guidance to barangay health workers, peer facilitators, and local stakeholders.

The Municipal Health Office extends its sincere appreciation to the barangay officials, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Rural Health Midwives, Sangguniang Kabataan officials, peer educators, and youth volunteers for their unwavering support and active participation throughout the validation process. Their dedication reflects the municipality's shared vision of creating safe, inclusive, and youth-friendly spaces where adolescents can access quality health information and services.

Atol sa maong tigum, gihisgutan ang kasamtangang mga kalihokan sa pagmonitor sa kalidad sa tubig, gipalig-on ang pagpatuman sa Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water, ug giplano ang mga prayoridad nga lakang aron masiguro ang luwas, limpyo, ug angay imnon nga tubig alang sa tanang komunidad. Naghatag usab og teknikal nga giya ang Provincial Health Office (PHO) bahin sa water quality surveillance, laboratory monitoring, ug mga lakang aron malikayan ang mga sakit nga may kalabutan sa kontaminadong tubig.

Gipadayag sa komite ang ilang padayon nga paningkamot sa pagpalig-on sa regular nga pagmonitor, hapsay nga koordinasyon, ug dali nga pagtubag sa mga isyu nga may kalabutan sa kalidad sa tubig. Nagpasalamat usab ang Municipal Government sa Provincial Health Office sa ilang padayon nga suporta ug teknikal nga giya aron mapanalipdan ang kahimsog ug kaayohan sa mga lumulupyo sa Boston pinaagi sa pagsiguro sa luwas ug limpyo nga tubig nga mainom.

𝐇𝐮𝐧𝐲𝐨 𝟐𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔- malampusong gipahigayon sa Provincial Health Office (PHO) ang usa ka oryentasyon bahin sa "𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘤𝘺, 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘔𝘰𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 (𝘈𝘊𝘚𝘔)" alang sa pagpugong ug pagkontrol sa mga food ug waterborne diseases. Lakip usab sa gihisgutan ang 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘴, usa ka sakit nga mahimong makuha pinaagi sa pagkaon sa hilaw o kulang sa luto nga alimango ug uban pang freshwater crustaceans.

Ang kalihokan gitambongan sa mga health workers ug mga lider sa komunidad aron mapalambo ang ilang kahibalo ug mapalig-on ang mga estratehiya sa pag-edukar sa publiko batok sa nagkalainlaing mga sakit.

Gipasiugdahan ang maong kalihokan ni 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑯𝒆𝒏𝒓𝒚 𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒏 𝑷𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒂𝒏, Chairman sa Committee on Health, kinsa mipadayag sa iyang suporta sa mga programa nga nagtinguha sa pagpalig-on sa kahimsog sa komunidad ug pagpataas sa kahibalo sa katawhan bahin sa paglikay sa mga sakit.

Dako usab ang pasalamat sa 𝑷𝒖𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑨𝒏𝒆𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝑴. 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒕, uban sa mga opisyal ug mga functionaries sa barangay, tungod sa ilang paghatag ug paggamit sa Barangay Session Hall isip venue sa maong kalihokan ug sa ilang padayon nga suporta sa mga programa sa panglawas.

Ang maong oryentasyon kabahin sa padayon nga paningkamot sa sektor sa panglawas aron masiguro ang mas luwas ug mas himsog nga komunidad.

Gipangulohan ni Punong Barangay 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨 𝐆. 𝐑𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬, ang kalihokan nagtigom sa mga kwalipikadong residente ug boluntaryo aron maghatag og dugo, nga makatabang sa pagsiguro nga adunay igong suplay sa dugo alang sa mga pasyente nga nanginahanglan og emerhensiyang medikal nga pag-atiman, operasyon, ug uban pang makaluwas og kinabuhi nga pagtambal.

Gisuportahan usab ang kalihokan ni Rural Health Midwife 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐂. 𝐑𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 uban sa health care team nga mitabang sa pagdumala sa mga donor ug pagsiguro nga hapsay ang dagan sa blood donation activity. Ang mga personnel gikan sa 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 – 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 maoy nanguna sa blood collection, ug paghatag og impormasyon kabahin sa kahimsog aron mapanalipdan ang kaluwasan sa tanang partisipante.

Gipahayag ni Hon. Romeo G. 𝐓𝐀𝐍-𝐀𝐖𝐀: Malampuson nga nahuman ang ikaduhang adlaw sa Lingkod sa Barangay diin gidala ang mga batakang serbisyo sa gobyerno nga mas duol ug mas sayon maabot sa mga lumulupyo sa Barangay Carmen. Pinaagi sa hiniusang paningkamot sa nagkadaiyang opisina sa munisipyo ug mga kaabag nga ahensya, nakapahimulos ang mga residente sa libreng medikal ug dental nga konsultasyon, libreng tambal, tabang pang-agrikultura, mga serbisyong sosyal, ug uban pang mga programa sa gobyerno.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Brgy. Sibahay became the center of public service and community development as the Municipality of Boston officially launched the “𝑳𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒌𝒐𝒅 𝒔𝒂 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚: 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉, 𝑨𝒈𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆, 𝑷𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒖𝒈 𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒐𝒂𝒏 𝒏𝒈𝒂 𝑫𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝒔𝒂 𝑲𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒏” today(June 9, 2026), marking the kickoff celebration of the 57th Araw ng Boston and 24th Pabulig Festival.

The successful activity was made possible through the leadership and support of Municipal Mayor Hon. Rowell F. Rosit, Vice Mayor John Paul Lampig, and Punong Barangay Hon. Michell Paquera of Brgy. Sibahay.

Residents benefited from various free government services, including medical and dental check-up services with free medicines provided by the Municipal Health Office. Other services offered during the activity included the PNP Assistance Desk, the Philippine Army’s free 𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘪 and haircut services, DSWD Senior Citizens Pay-out, Municipal Treasurer’s Office for cedula processing, and the Municipal Agriculture Office providing vitamins and anti-rabies vaccines for livestock, pets, and animals.

The kickoff activity reflected the local government’s continuing commitment to delivering essential services directly to the communities. Through the combined efforts of different offices and partner agencies, residents of Brgy. Sibahay were able to access health services, agricultural assistance, and other government programs in one venue.
