Capacity Building on Health Information Systems

As part of the institution’s commitment to strengthening health information management under the leadership of Mary Precious M. Traviña and the Management Committee (MANCOM), Mr. Jay Ven D. Hongco participated in the iHOMIS Plus Training for Hospital System Administrators conducted by the Department of Health Western Visayas Center for Health Development – ICT Unit on May 19–21, 2026, at MO2 Westown Hotel.

The training focused on enhancing the knowledge and technical competencies of hospital system administrators in the effective administration, maintenance, and utilization of the iHOMIS Plus system. Through this activity, participants gained valuable insights into improving data management, streamlining hospital processes, and supporting evidence-based healthcare delivery through digital health technologies.

May 29, 2026 – Bugasong Medicare Community Hospital (BMCH) joined the observance of World No To***co and Va**ng Day and the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to health promotion, disease prevention, and community awareness.

Under the leadership of Dr. Mary Precious M. Traviña, OIC-Chief of Hospital, together with the Management Committee (MANCOM), the activity was spearheaded by the Outpatient Department (OPD) Personnel with the active participation and support of all BMCH personnel.

The activity highlighted the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, raising awareness on the harmful effects of to***co use and va**ng, promoting HIV/AIDS education, and encouraging compassion and solidarity for those affected by HIV/AIDS.

Through collective action and shared commitment, BMCH continues to champion initiatives that empower individuals, strengthen communities, and promote a healthier future for all.

The Bugasong Medicare Community Hospital, under the leadership of Dr. Mary Precious M. Traviña, OIC–Chief of Hospital, successfully conducted the Province-Wide LIBRE TULI medical service activity on May 22–23, 2026, serving 187 young clients from the municipalities of Bugasong and Patnongon.

The hospital extends its sincere gratitude to Municipal Mayor Hon. Victor R. Condez, Sangguniang Bayan Member Hon. Geraldine Pesayco, Barangay Captain Hon. Arlene E. Miranda of Barangay Ilaures, and the Bugasong Primary Care Facility for their invaluable support, steadfast commitment, and active participation, which greatly contributed to the successful implementation of the program.

Appreciation is likewise extended to the Provincial Health Office of Antique headed by Dr. Melendie Fabila-Sanchez, Chief of Hospital I and OIC-Provincial Health Officer II, together with the PHO management and staff, for their technical guidance and continuous support throughout the implementation of the activity.

This successful undertaking was made possible through the strong collaboration of stakeholders under the Provincial Government of Antique, together with the MANCOM, all BMCH staff, and the parents and guardians of the beneficiaries, whose trust, cooperation, and support were vital to the success of the program.
