July 9, 2026 | IPC Week 2026 Celebration

Bugasong Medicare Community Hospital (BMCH) proudly celebrated Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Week 2026 with the theme: โ€œBuilding Responsive IPC Systems: Strengthening Monitoring, Collaboration, and Resilience.โ€

The celebration was led by our OIC-Chief of Hospital, Dr. Mary Precious M. Traviรฑa, whose steadfast leadership and unwavering support continue to strengthen BMCHโ€™s commitment to patient safety, quality healthcare, and excellence in Infection Prevention and Control. Joining her were the members of the Management Committee (MANCOM) and the entire BMCH workforce, whose active participation contributed to the success of the celebration.

The activity was spearheaded by IPC Committee Chairperson, Dr. Mary Lubelle B. Talidong, IPC Nurse Katherine Mae G. Cordova, and the dedicated members of the IPC Committee, whose leadership and commitment ensured the success of the celebration.

The program featured an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Orientation, interactive educational games, a Quiz Bee, and the awarding of winners for the IPC Booth Competition and the Slogan and Poster-Making Contest, recognizing the creativity, teamwork, and dedication of the participants.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our distinguished panel of judges for generously sharing their time, expertise, and valuable insights. Your support, professionalism, and impartial evaluation greatly contributed to the success of this meaningful celebration.

Through this event, BMCH reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of patient safety, strengthening infection prevention and control practices, and promoting collaboration, innovation, and resilience among healthcare workers in delivering quality healthcare services.

The Provincial Health Office (PHO) successfully conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for the personnel of Bugasong Medicare Community Hospital (BMCH). We extend our sincere appreciation to the PHO Team for their invaluable support, guidance, and expertise in facilitating this vital capacity building activity.

Led by our OIC-Chief of Hospital, Dr. Mary Precious M. Traviรฑa, together with the Management Committee (MANCOM) and BMCH personnel, we remain steadfast in our commitment to continuous professional development and excellence in healthcare service delivery.

This training enhanced the knowledge, skills, and preparedness of our healthcare workforce in providing immediate and effective life saving interventions. Beyond strengthening emergency response within the hospital, these competencies may also be applied in community settings and unforeseen situations outside the healthcare facility, enabling our personnel to render timely assistance when every second counts.
