Halloween was just around the corner 🏚️👻🕸🕷🦇

For this weeks group activity session, our AUsome kids made Ƕąմղէҽժ հօմʂҽ, ɠɧơʂɬʂ , and ʂƈąཞყ ƈų℘ƈąƙɛ .

This fun-filled activity made the kids channel their creative minds by designing the cupcakes and also practiced their fine motor skills.

Fine motor activities are essential for the coordination of their small muscles in hands and fingers together with the eyes. These activities, have impact on their classroom participation, learning and self-esteem. Moreover, it also empower the cognitive development for hand-eye coordination and concentration.

See you again next week kids for our trick or treat! Don't forget to wear your scary costumes!

Rocket: Today, we heard…

Emirates is set to become the world's first Autism Certified Airline, with official certification from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) expected in the coming months.

Over 30,000 Emirates cabin crew and ground staff are currently undergoing specialised training to better address the needs of affected travellers, ensuring that at least 80% of customer-facing staff complete the dedicated programme. The training covers autism misconceptions, individual needs, and potential sensory triggers, equipping staff with the knowledge to provide tailored support.

In addition to the training, Emirates plans to introduce new services in 2025 aimed at enhancing accessibility. These include sensory guides, digital tools designed to help passengers navigate environments based on sensory factors such as sound, lighting, and smells. The airline will also offer neurodiverse sensory products, such as fidget toys, to help passengers reduce stress and maintain focus during flights.

Emirates has already achieved a Certified
Autism Centre designation for its four Dubai check-in facilities, including its hub in Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport. This follows Dubai Airport's recognition as the first international airport to receive the Certified Autism Centre designation in December 2023.
