The City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro proudly participated in the Mass Casualty Simulation Exercise held on July 31, 2026, at the City Hall Grounds, Malaybalay City, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Malaybalay City.
Led by ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ช๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ฅ. ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป and joined by partner agencies, the exercise emphasized the importance of coordinated emergency response during incidents involving multiple casualties. Through realistic simulations, participants strengthened their skills in patient triage, emergency medical care, incident command, communication, and inter-agency coordination.
Mass casualty simulation exercises are essential for preparing healthcare workers, emergency responders, and local government units to respond effectively to disasters and other large-scale emergencies. These trainings improve teamwork, identify opportunities for enhancement, and help ensure that victims receive timely, organized, and life-saving care when every second matters.
Through continuous training, collaboration, and shared commitment, we are building safer, stronger, and more resilient communities that are better prepared to protect lives during emergencies.
