Cornerstone Therapy Hub’s collaboration with the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban kicked off last July 4, 2026 with a parent empowerment seminar conducted by Teacher Sheila and pre-vocational assessment of select teens from the DepEd SNED program. This is the 1st phase of the Rotary chapter’s long-term project for young teens.

Last July 4, 2026 Teacher Sheila gave a lecture to parents and teachers and along with Ms. Paulynne Aguhob, OTRP conducted pre-vocational assessment of teen students enrolled in DepEd’s SNED Program. This was a project of Rotary Club CDO East Urban in cooperation with the Department of Education, Capitol University, and Cornerstone Therapy Hub.

"What will happen to my child when I'm no longer around?"

It's a question many parents of children with special needs carry in their hearts.

As the first service project under the leadership of Club President Karina Mae Olavides for Rotary Year 2026-2027, the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban proudly launches TARIPATO: Pusong Yumayakap, Kamay na Gumagabay.

On July 4, 2026, families will take part in a Parent Empowerment Seminar and Pre-Vocational Assessments led by licensed occupational therapists, helping young people with special needs discover their strengths and prepare for a more independent future.

This meaningful initiative is chaired by VP Jean Suzette Macapayag. This project reflects RCEU's commitment to creating opportunities, empowering families, and building a more inclusive community.
