From training halls to lifelong friendships, the Maria Reyna Xavier University Hospital Alumni Homecoming during the 56th Annual Congress of the Philippine College of Physicians (P*P) held in Manila with the theme: “𝗣𝗖𝗣 𝗘𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗘𝗦: 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹” last May 3-6, 2026 reminds us that no matter where life takes us, we will always have a home in MRXUH. A huge congratulations to Mia Colleen Rozelle Lomongo-Mangahas, MD for securing 2nd Place in the P*P–Northern Mindanao Case Report Contest! 🎉👏

Dr. Lomongo-Mangahas presented the case titled:
“Purtscher-like Retinopathy as a Rare Initial Presentation of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: A Case Report” — highlighting a rare and insightful clinical presentation that contributes meaningfully to current medical literature.

This achievement was made possible with her co-authors, Dr. Stella Marie C. Fabia and Dr. Mayjane Joan Tumulak, and under the guidance of her mentor, Dr. Gwen Garrido-Bagayo.

The 30th Dr. Adrian C. Peña P*P Medical Quiz Contest held an electrifying Qualifying Round last January 17, 2026, at the Acacia Hotel Davao, Davao City.
